O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I have a 4-1/2 foot Iguana (& still growing) I keep in a 40 cubic foot cage. I used to let him run around, but he got too frigin big and kept tearing up my room. I'v had him for 7 years now. When I first got him, he was only 10 inches. Knock, those Snappers are nasty turtles. I've seen huge ones bite tree branches in half. They have some powerful jaws. "I was born in the desert, raised in a lion's den"

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Hell yeah thats why I love snappin turtles. They are powerful. Id love to get an alligator snapper but they grow to about 200 pounds. And are very nasty. If you ever get the chance to see a sannper in a tank I highly recomend it. Watching them hunt for their fich and catching it and ripping it apart. I have a couple baby painters that I keep in the house in a tank. I love watching them swim around and catching their fish. My brother-inlaw has a small snapper he is awsome to watch eat. He feeds him large crappy and sunnys.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I used to breed reptiles for sale in college. Mostly leopard geckos and boas. When I moved to where i live now, we had 4 iguanas, a red tail boa and two jacksons chameleons. All but one of the iguanas have died, I believe they took ill because of neglet from the roommate ( their rightful owner). The remaining one is about 5' long now. The Jacksons are no more, I think they got were done in by tainted crickets, both got sick at the same time. The snake.... well she is about 12 feet long now. She used to eat rabbits, but ever since we moved here, she just plays with them. We now stick to 3 or four rats at a time. Still one spot open! O&A Board Veteran Registered: Dec. 00 | This is not bad, but I'd prefer a different color. ;) Seriously though, my nephew has 2 white albino pythons. One is 5 foot long and eats a Guinea Pig once a week. The other is 3 foot and still on mice and rats. Once the female is ready, he plans on breeding them soon. Rumor has it, the babies are worth a ton of money. Newest member of Grumpy's Adopted Midgets: ShavinBush Any inappropriate behaviour should be reported to me. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | quote: Actually, snakes are weird in that babies aren't worth as much as a slightly older snake.... let's say about 6 months to a year. The reason for this is that when snakes are babies, you don't know if they will be "eaters". Many snakes die very young simply because they refuse to eat. But albino pythons are worth a good bit. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I used to have two Iguanas, Star and Dust~as in Ziggy. But my ex took em cuz he said they were his. Then he got tired of them and gave em away to God knows who without even telling me! They were really cool and went from 3 inches to 3 feet! They used to climb up the curtains so I'd have to get a ladder to get them down. And of course I have Chucky, my frog tattoed on my foot. Not really a reptile, but close enuf.
