O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	June 21, 2001 -- CBS is gearing up for a much-talked about celebrity version of the mega-hit "Survivor" that would likely include the network's Ray Romano and Kevin James, basketball star Kobe Bryant - and perhaps Howard Stern. "We've talked about a celebrity version," CBS President and CEO Les Moonves told Stern yesterday on the air, "I think you'd be great on it." Asked if that means an all-star "Survivor" is a done deal, Moonves said, "We think, yes." Moonves, who said "Survivor 3" was cast last week and "Survivor 4" is in the planning stage, announced that Romano ("Everybody Loves Raymond") and James ("King of Queens") have both expressed serious interest. "We've also talked to a couple of basketball players [and] Kobe Bryant would do it," Moonves said, adding he's also heard from Frank Stallone's agent. "By the way, Kate [Hudson] denies a report that she waited in line at KCBS for an hour for the regular 'Survivor' auditions," Moonves said. Stern, who didn't say he'd do it but implied he might, asked Moonves if Robert Blake and O.J. Simpson would find a welcome mat at the game show. "No, but we're doing a 'Baretta Returns' movie - I'm kidding!" said the CBS exec. "And, no, I don't think O.J. would be appearing on CBS." Moonves said the celebrity version would have different rules and the prize money would most likely go to charity. "Obviously you couldn't go away for seven weeks," he told Stern. "You'd go away for something like 10 days and every day somebody would be voted off." Moonves didn't talk about any of the challenges the celebs might face, but Stern suggested they be "forced to ride in an elevator with the public or have their limos taken away for 10 days."

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00	I hope to God this fails miserably, I hate reality TV. I hope Moonves gets AIDS from a Survivor 3 African sneaking back to the STates. I hate reality TV...for God's sake SPY TV IS CANDID CAMERA.
