| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I have a close friend who's brother was taken by it, I have many close Gay friends, and my uncle was also infected and has since passed. Its sad that In this day and age there isn't more awareness of the danger and tradgedy lurking. People dont get tested like they should, and aren't as careful as they should be. I hope that someday soon people that havent already, start to realize what a fuckin threat it is............. It just makes extremely sad to see all the lives that could have continued. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | Actually, it's a funny thing but just coming home from the city, I saw a billboard that stated: 15,000 people are infected with HIV, daily. How horrible of a statistic is that? I did a lot of reseach and dealing with this topic and because I was a member of Outreach and Spark, but just seeing that horrible statistic even shocks me. My friend was just diagnosed as HIV positive. It's so horrible. It really is a modern day plague. The sad part is that it can be so easily avoided as well, yet it keeps spreading like wildfire! What a great topic wish i thought of it. It's a horrible thing to watch someone go through and it's something that could have maybe been contaminated early on if the goverment gave a shit at first.
