| O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00  | Anybody here ever compete in any school competitions like Spelling Bees and Math Bees? In my class, we would answer three or four questions and then start getting them intentionally wrong so we didn't have to get on stage in front of the school and look like the nerds we were. So, only the real ass-kissers did it. Finally, in 8th grade, NOBODY wanted to do it, so EVERYONE got the very first question wrong, no matter how easy it was. The teacher was pissed. That afternoon, the principal came in and yelled at us for not having school spirit and participating. It was two months to graduation and we all just looked at her like "what are you going to do about it." My teachers still say we were the smartest AND the most rebellious class they have ever seen. And that was eleven years ago. I have no idea why I just remember that or decided to tell you about it. Damn I need a day off. How convenient. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | How about this for a competition.... give prepubescent hyper no-common-sense exhibiting 7th graders some bows and arrows, and let them fire deadly weapons at over 100 miles an hour unattended. This was the same class that I feared for my life in the locker room every day, the same class that those same bullies would administer mike tyson style dead arms before the pull-up portion of the presidential fitness test... after which i could barely do a pull-up or two because of the deadening pain shooting through my arm. Hey.. here's an idea. Let's give those little assholes bows and arrows, as if their concealed pocket butterfly knives and clenched fists weren't intimidating enough. But I digress... I won this archery competition in that class once... all i won was a bag of starburst... from which I wasn't lucky enough to partake, due to the fact that the goddamn bullies stole it. Sonsabitches. See? I knew there was a point somewhere.

| Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | I tutor kids in the International Baccalaureate Program and they love this stuff! The more competitive it is, the better they like it. What's different about this program is the cool kids make up most of class. We have over 500 families in the program right now. Maynard's Minion | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | i will now expose myself to truly be the nerd most of you probably think i am.at my high school, there is this team i've been on both years called college bowl.tuesdays and fridays we split in half and compete against the rest of the team, answering various questions, and on most saturdays we go to a different school and compete agains the other teams there.i'm a nerd :( thanks to fez for the pic | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I think my favorite contest wasnt really a school contest but when I was in Girl Scouts when I was younger, we had the Brownie cookie bake off. It was basically a way for all the mothers to figure out who was the best baker between them by putting their daughter's names on the cookies and having the teachers in the school be the judges. I was the champ 4 years in a row :-)  CIT (Cuties in Training): none, have room for 2 email me if you want to be a Cutie Yahman - Certified Cutie as of 6/19/01 | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | The official "National Spelling Bee" is the one they do when you're in 5th grade. (The one they show on ESPN. (?!?!?!)) Anyway, I won my school, and lost about halfway through the next level. I still remember the freakin' word: sophomore. Goddamn second 'o'. It's pronounced SoF-more for crissakes !!!!! :: I'm okay :: As a matter of fact, (should I admit this?), my grandmother still has the T-Shirt I got: Newsday National Spelling Bee School Champion. Probably the only T-Shirt I never actually wore. I've revealed enough of my inner-geek for now... And kids, that's why today I drink heavily...  | ||||

Upon reflection I realize how cruel it was for the kids that did not have any artistic ability. graduated by Fez..but that does not make me a bad person. | ||||

Anywho, In freshman year of HS, we had an un offical contest on who could make our Biology teacher curse first. We used to fuck with this poor man until he lost it. I wouldn't be suprised if he is in an institution by now. I got him one day by using a prop. You see, he had a problem with spitting while he talked so one day I sat in the front of the class armed with an umbrella. Needless to say he wigged out pretty bad and I got a one week vacation and quite the beating when I got home. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | In 2nd grade we used to have peeing for distance contests. Basically, we lined up at the urinals, started pissing, and backed away. The one who got the furthest while maintaining urine contact with the urinal won. Sad to say I was never champion, but I came close a couple of times. Now seeking junior Brownstones to adopt | ||||
