Open up Internet Explorer by itself (whether your online or not), then try from the top menu: Tools ---> Internet Options. Select "Default" settings, or reconfigure them to whatever you really want.

Brain's instructions are correct. Just make sure that no other programs are running at the time. Close them first.

After you reset your settings, go to the RUN on the start up menu. You're gonna see a black dos screen, type in FDISK C: then hit enter

That should solve your computer problems for today.
