| WNEW is close to yet another overhaul of its struggling all-talk lineup, according to strong industry rumors.
The Viacom/CBS/Infinity-owned station (102.7 FM), which dumped rock for talk nearly two years ago, hasn't been able to crack the Top 20 in spite of robust ratings from afternoon-drivers Opie & Anthony.
It looks like Leslie "The Radio Chick" Gold, the saucy midday talker, is out again. Gold was fired last January but brought back three weeks later when a new ratings report showed audience gains - which haven't held up.
WNEW is also expected to move syndicated nightsiders Don & Mike to middays, bumping the straight/gay team of Ron & Fez back to evenings.
"WNEW has a basically good idea but has yet to find a way to do it," said Talkers magazine publisher Michael Harrison, who was an 'NEW DJ in the early '70s.
"I like rumors," said WNEW programmer Jeremy Coleman, who declined to say more.

| There's already a thread about this in GD. I will say, once again, that "I like rumors" might be the stupidest line ever. It sounds like a retard saying.
