I was gonna do a foundry column but i figured this is home and my first column should be here and see what you guys think of what i have to say, no sickness just brutally honest. I hate stupid people. Unfortunately, I consider about 60 percent of the human population to be stupid, so that's a bit of weight to carry around. Okay, truth is, I don't hate them, I just find I like it better when they're not around. Realize that the concept of stupid covers a large scope. I consider inconsiderate people stupid. People who get angry over stupid shit are just as stupid as the shit they get angry over. People who don't take the time to think about things -- the world around them, life in general, ways of improving themselves -- yep, they're all stupid in my book. Close-minded people are stupid. People who live their life for the weekend are stupid. Here's a great example of stupidity in action. I'm at the supermarket, probably buying a case of Oly stubbies and eggplants (we all know why i love eggplants but that is another post.) for night of cheap drinking and sex. Anyway, I get in line at the express lane. Some guy or lady in front of me (there doesn't seem to be any particular gender to stupidity) unloads their cart onto the counter, and leaves it behind them. They pay for the groceries and head out, leaving an empty cart in my way, which I have to move before I can even reach the counter. Stupid stupid stupid! What? These people think their cart takes care of itself? They forgot that they had a cart? Or are they just trying to piss me off? (in which case, maybe they aren't as stupid as I think, because if that's what they were trying to do...) People who have to have a girlfriend or a boyfriend to make them a whole person are stupid, in my book (hmm, maybe THAT'S why I'm single or could be the fact i am a sick and twisted fuck with weird seuxal prefernces or maybe cause i'm a fat ugly loser.). Actually, some would probably call this co- dependency, but I call it stupid. There's nothing wrong with relationships, but I've seen so many people who get depressed simply because they don't have a body to be with, it just makes me wonder. Why aren't these people doing something with themselves? Do they really have so much time on their hands that they can spend all day wishing they had something that would probably turn sour on them anyway, since they obviously think so little of themselves that they need someone else to make them whole? (Was that convoluted enough for you?) People who go to college to get a degree are stupid. People who go to college to learn are not. I couldn't believe, in my 4 years at college the number of people who were there that hated school. What!? What the fuck were they doing wasting my time by filling up classes that I wanted to take when they didn't really want to be there? I use to give speeches in any class that I got a chance to (and, since I am such a great speaker and i have such great ideas that was a lot) about how people who were in school just to get a piece of paper saying they graduated should drop out right then. I can only hope it worked on a few of them. People who flip other people off while driving are stupid. Some of you might think this is punk. You are stupid. Even if the person you flipped off did something stupid to make you angry, there is no reason to flip them off. Here's the way I figure it. The person who screwed up, maybe cut you off or something, probably didn't do it intentionally. They probably are just stupid. Do they deserve to be flipped off, merely for being stupid? I don't think so. Your middle finger might ruin their whole day. It makes you just as stupid as them. As someone who isn't stupid, but who still occasionally gets flipped off while driving (because I piss off the stupid people by maneuvering my car in such a way that they can't pull their stupid little driving maneuvers), I have a simple remedy to the middle finger situation. When someone gives me the bird, I blow them a kiss -- especially if they are male and are in a big truck which could easily crush my wimpy eagle. I pucker up, put my hand to my face, and blow a big old smoocheroo their way. You gotta love how stupid people are homophobic. It drives them nuts! I've almost been run off the road before because of such a simple little act. imagine if i pulled out my schmekel and started rubbing one out? I figure that, since they gave me the middle finger and tried to ruin my day, I might as well turn the tables on them -- and they're stupid enough to fall for it. Try it -- it's fun and it's easy! I also think that there are a lot of stupid people in music. Luckily, however, there are also a lot of smart ones. In rock, there doesn't seem to be much of a middle ground. Either someone is really stupid, or they are really smart. I think, however, that rock in general has more smart people than society at large. I for one do not like people like Fred Durst and i love people like eminem, enough about talking about your fuckin pussy problems and rollin wit yo bitches and poppin caps in nigga's asses for mackin to your ho's these are not real problems. Fred Durst should suck my balls after a nice sweaty bike ride in the sun fuckin faggot. Eminem is out there to say what people wanna say but don't have the balls to say he is a skinny white prick with lot's of hate and he isn't afraid to say it and i love that. Any man who can insult puffy, britney spears, n'sync and reverand jessie jackson in one song is my hero. All the smart punks are putting out playing in bands, doing punk rock radio shows, and generally being creative or doing something to help their community. All the stupid ones are paying their five to ten bucks to be entertained -- and that's all they do. Now, that's not to say that their aren't stupid bands because they aren't that hard to find. They are either being put out by smart people who have misdirected their energy into something stupid, or by stupid people who have somehow managed to get their shit together enough to put something together. Also i extremely hate lazy people who sit on their asses, (yes you i am fuckin talking to you) and they expect from bitching and moaning about their problems they will be magically solved. These are the same people that buy electric can openers cause they are too fuckin lazy to use their wrists and people who buy microwavable dinners cause they are too fuckin lazy. You know them when they walk into a room you cringe cause you know no matter how much fun you are having, they will depress you to the point of you wanting to slit your wrists. Ohh my g/f left me i can't get laid i can't do this i can't make friends blah blah go slip in a pile of shit and piss and brreak your face on the way down. Get a fuckin sense of humor and a personality jackass then maybe you won't be so bitter. Yeah that's what a person wants in a friend a walking suicide case with the fun factor of ben stein at a deaf/mute convention. If you take me being a kid toucher literally or if you assume what i mean without full knowlege of who i am or speaking to me then you should lick my sweaty taint after i shit on your grandmothers rotted out corpse. Do I consider myself smart? Yeah, sure, most of the time, otherwise why would I be writing this. But here's an idea -- even smart people are stupid every once in awhile, but the majority of people are stupid the majority of the time, and the stupid people are rarely ever smart. So, do I consider you stupid or smart? I don't know. Take a look at yourself and make that judgement. (hint: if you think I'm talking about you specifically in the above rant, you are most definitely stupid). That's all for now. Maybe I'll be back with something even more enlightening to say, providing that people don't think this column is too stupid and takes away from my sick and twisted posts..... On the whole, that person may be a very smart one, but in that instant they did something stupid right in front of you. And like you said, every smart person does something stupid every once in a while. But if you know these types of people personally, then the aforesaid may not be true all the time. But I have to agree with your point about the college students. I too have witnessed the same thing, and it abhors me. On graduation day, when I asked several friends what they were doing next, many of the responses I received were "I don't know." You don't know? What the hell did you make your parents spend all that money for? But I shouldn't complain too much. I will need, as a hopeful college professor, many of these people to keep me employed in the future. I go through these rants quite often, but I try to look at it this way: Okay, these people may not be of the utmost intelligence, but maybe they have some other special talent. And while yes, I would agree that a majority of the people you describe are entirely stupid, some can also be labelled inconsiderate. Not in that touchy-feely "let's all love one another" way (although, there are times when more women should be that way) but rather in the "I'm only out for myself, so fuck the rest of you, I'm doing things my way." I speak of the people who will cut you, of the people who will cut off school buses and ambulances to get down the highway, of the people who leave shopping carts in checkout lanes, and even of the people who decide that they're TV show is better than your game of Madden 2001, where you've scored 80 points and thrown for over 700 yards. These people are inconsiderate. They have decided, through some factors unbeknownst to the mere mortal, that they will do what they want, when they want, and how they want it. (Do not confuse inconsiderate philosophy with ambition. Ambition tends to have compassion with it.) The world has bred people this way. Everything must be faster, and done exactly how the person wants it. They believe strongly in this statement, "If things are not the way I need them to be, then I will raise hell and bitch and moan and whine until people cave into my self-centered spoiled attitude." I believe the inconsiderate people know that they are inconsiderate, I believe that it is a conscious effort people make to be such assholes. You weren't born an asshole, you learned it from exposure to other assholes. Thank your parents for that fine upbringing, because you are, for all intents and purposes, detrimental to social function.
