i downloaded a few things in mp43 and can't seem to get it to play. i downloaded the codec, followed the 'read this first' file and WIndows Media Player still won't run it- no error message, it just stays on 'connecting.' Any help?

I have the same problem with DivX codec. I need a special player "The Playa" to play the movies. Maybe theres a special player for mp43? Never heard of mp4.

sometimes you need even the older codecs to help play them, and what version of WMP do you have?

I use The Playa too which is pretty cool anyway i have WMP 7.1

There is a program called EncodeIT 0.1 that you can get from downloads.com or http://poczta.pnet.pl/~encodeit/ That will let you convert mp4 to mp3 or wav files
