| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00  | Since were less than a week away from both the launches im still having trouble deciding.Even though I'm leaning more towards the cube .The only Games that realy excite me for XBox so far are Halo and Obi Wan .But in the long run the cube will have some killer games coming out for it.If some of you can give me your thoughts it would be apreciated. There are a lot of cool games coming out for gamecube (smash brothers melee, wave race blue storm, rougue squadron 2, etc.) but only Halo and DOA3 look cool on XBOX. personally, i feel that xbox will have more good games in the long haul. nintendo seemed to crap out after 2 or 3 years with the n64. so it really depends on the games you like AIM | E-MAIL My grandmother always said, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the sex for free?" | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I believe the Gamecube is being marketed mainly at younger players, with the limited availability of a few "more mature" games. Nintendo has long been known for its Mario/Luigi look, which appeals to both younger kids and their parents - not to mention the fact that GC will cost at least $100 less than PS2 or X-Box. Personally, I want to get an X-Box - but I don't want to shell out $400-$500 for a combo-deal. Halo looks sweet, as does DOA3, but I think I'll wait a little while to see what actual users have to say about it after giving it a run-through. Remember, gaming console or not, its still a Microsoft product, and M$ is famous for having to patch-up their bugs.  You can reach me through AIM or email. | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | My personal opinion is to go with an X-Box. With the hardware specs, the upcomming games should be jawdropping. I think it would be smart to wait a year or at least 6 months to buy either system. Developers need more time to play with the systems and test their limitations. Thats why I think the quality of PS2 games that have came out in the past 2 months are way better than the games that came out within 2 months of PS2's release. Also within 6 months there will be enough X-Boxs and Gamecubes to go around. Stores will be selling them by themselves, not in the f'ing retarded bundles that I despise so much. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I really dislike Nintendo. I think the Xbox has much better games, than the cube, mostly because they're not infant oriented. Halo, DOA3, Project Gotham Racing, and NHL 2002 are on the top of my list. Also, could anyone tell me if NFL Fever 2002 is better or worse than Madden 2002 and NFL 2K2 Jackie...she's......JACKIE! | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jun. 01 | Neither. PS2. It's just my opinion that sony will spend some good money and keep some good developers aligned with them. Such as sony buying the rights for the next few Final Fantasy's strictly licsenced for PS2. The quality of the games will prevail, I believe, not the system... and so far from what I've seen PS2's games will be much better than all of the other consoles. But, I'm sure there will be a few good ones for the others... | Psychopath Registered: Jul. 01 | PSX2... sorry but its on the road to fail. Its probably the worst hardware design behind the Atari Jaguar. The Dev Kits for the PSX2 are Linux baed and only accept input through a 10-year-old, DOS based programming language, which is out of date. Linux, although stable and fast is not the norm when it comes to what programmers code on. (Though I wish everyone coded on Linux...) From what I understand, when Halo was coming out for the PC, when Microsoft got a hold of it, the code was fairly easy to port over to the X-Box. The PSX2 has a 4 Meg Video adapter. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | XBOX is better. Nintendo made the a mistake by making mainly chilish games. Lately, only Teen/Mature games have been selling. PS2 is the best console but if I had to pick out of XBOX or GAEMCUBE I'd go with the Box | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | GC hasn't had any games that have grabbed my attention yet. X-Box has had only DOA3 and Halo that really interested me. Tecmo has a long history of taking games and making it ultra special kung fu version on another console so I wouldn't get an X-Box just for DOA3. Out of the box, I can plug my X-Box into my cable modem and multiplay. If they made a version of Everquest for PS2 (everquest is a sony product as far as I know) they would make a killing. There are 400,000 Everquest subscribers around the world, wtf is Sony waiting for? They both seem to have good games on the horizon. question - exactly what hardware would i need to pick up to hook up my cable modem to my ps2?
