O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Memorex and Fuji-Film CD-r's are good, and it's usually better to buy 80 minute CD-R's. Welcome to the world of piracy me boy.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | At this rate generic cdr's aren't that bad. Check pricewatch you can get 50 for 7 bucks, 100 for 16, and 200 for 32. I know it should be lower for larger quantities but hey you can't complain. Resident Board Socialist IM me at stickysituation2 | ||||

O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00 | Be careful. The cheaper cdrs tend to not play if placed in sunlight and can be unplayable even with one scratch. But if you take care of them, it won't matter. Go to target or best buy. Once in a while they'll have 100 cdrs for $30 or even less! Yes piracy will be very easy for you now. If you have a high speed connection it will be even better. O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | quote: quote: What is this piracy that you speak of? ;) Also generic disks are good to have around to test things - like making boots of games, etc. usually at comp shows (I'm a big fan of these) you can get CD-R's extremely cheap, and in bundles of 50 - then if you need empty cd cases, look two tables over and there they are. For music I have been very happy with Sony disks - I have yet to have one "not play" for me in any cd player/drive. PNY disks are good for data as well, but they can be testy with cd-players as far as music goes. Good luck with the burner - may it bring you lots of happiness while it saves you $$ on expensive software. You can reach me through AIM or email. Don't be shy, drop a line and say Hi! O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | One more tip. When you burn a music CD, burn it at a slower speed (2x instead of 8x and higher). Usually, the slower it's burned, the better it will play if it gets scratched. If you scratch a CD that was burned at 8x or higher, it will usually skip, if it plays at all.
