Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | Heh heh, stole this from IGN: Well, that clears things up a bit. After a considerable amount of vacillation and general lack of clarity, the key question regarding Final Fantasy XI is solved. According to a recent issue of Famitsu Weekly, the next game in Square's most lucrative franchise is indeed the first Massively Multiplayer Online RPG to grace a videogame console (or Computer Entertainment System, if you will), an online world where all manner of players may congregate, chat, and do battle with the forces of evil. This sets it apart from earlier efforts like Phantasy Star Online, where only a few players could coexist in a game at once. FFXI's servers will house thousands of different players at a time, and a massive game world besides.

No i don't, FFXI cost a lot. $50 for game + 100 - 150 for modem and hard drive + $10 A MONTH for online gameplay = up to $200 + 10 for each month u play. Thats a lot for a couple of online games. But hey lets see how our human ginuee pig Japan thinks about and not jump to any serious conlcusions. graduated from the adolescentmasturbator school of newbies

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 01 | yeah. they shouldnt have made it into a sequential part of the FF games. It should have been a side game like FF Tactics or (do i dare mention?) Chocobo Racing. I have heard that it will be like $10 a month for unlimited gameplay of any games that are online (which isn't bad if you play about 10 games online). But still, any news on the broadband adapter? (Broadband Adapter - $150.00, USB Hard Drive - $150.00, Game - $50.00, knowing your xbox already has the 2 most expensive of the 3 already - priceless) People are not going to want to spend $300.00 to upgrade their PS2 just to play that one game. Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 02 | I'm waiting for more information on FFXI before i get all excited. FFX is possibly the greatest letdown i've ever experienced in a video game, a 40 hour romp through a rehashed story with a few twists, easy as pie gameplay (i did not receieve 1 single fucking game over), absurd revelations later in the game, the cast of Dawsons Creek 2005, voice acting WTF?! ugh, just a whole fucking mess, if they want me to shell out money every month to play that garbage online Square can eat a big bowl of shit, if however, they do the smart thing and rebuild their game from the ground up and create a great Everquest-asherons-callish type MMORPG, i'm there. What makes you so damn certain that the PS2 one will cost more? And why is a HD necessary? Why not buy the shark line thingy thatll hook ur PS2 up to your comp via USB so you can save on your HD. I think it's just hard for you to accept the truth. "This is my BOOM stick..."

(no, cos u u say u play XBOX) With the remote comes a cd, it opens a program that copies all the info from the cd onto ur memory card allowing u to use the special features of the remote.
