O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I just got my new PC Gamer magazine in the mail and dear god they had a big article on Unreal 2. The graphics are amazing from what I am seeing. Also it will combine the best elements of Unreal and Unreal Tournament. That means great single-player experience as well as great multiplayer one. I can't wait for this one. This game is seriously gonna rock! "Groupsex - it does every-body good"

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | The projected release date is Q1 2002. On a side note the sequel to Unreal Tournament will be out late 2002. It will be called Unreal Warfare. E-Mail Me LIKE SCHOOL IN SUMMERTIME

Hanger-On Registered: Nov. 00 | Yes, i just read the PC Gamer article myself. It looks like were all gonna have to do some nice video hardware upgrading to actually see the kind of detail that they're talking about. GeForce2 might cut it but if you're gonna want to see the nice flowing hair and water stuff it looks like the GeForce3 thats coming out may be the way to go. The game is pretty much geared aroud DirectX8 which in turn has alot of features that came directly from nVidia. This message was edited by jdlogan on 3-18-01 @ 3:11 AM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I don't think you need at least a Geforce 3 to fully see all those graphics. A original Geforce SDR should be able to handle it. Of course you won't get all the benefits as you would a Geforce 3 but that is with any game. I have a 32MB Geforce 2 Pro and it should handle everything great. A pro is in between the normal geforce 2 line and geforce ultra line. But the unreal creators would be kind of crazy to make the Geforce 3 their top graphics card priority when it will be 600 bucks when it comes out. By the time Unreal 2 comes it should still be costly. However what is exciting about the GF3 is that it takes so much of the workload of the CPU that you wont need as much processing power.
