You must be kidding me. Counter-Strike blows compared to this. If you see any reviews for any video card they all test their cards on Quake III Arena. HIGHPOWERED!!

Exactly. Quake 3 is ALL graphics and no gameplay. Nothing can beat the very first Quake in funfactor..... except maybe CounterStrike.

Quake is a sick game. Runs on any shitty comp, and who doesn't enjoy the online TF? CS is great as well...Let's face it, most FPS are good at the time they come out...

What's Quake 3? Is that some sort of game? It looks kind of outdated. I don't know what video card reviews you're reading. I'm looking at the current issue of PC Gamer, and the benchmark's use Nethack. There's apparantly this new game coming out, its supposed to be the state of the art. It's tenatatively being called Ultima II.

I've played Q-1 & Q-2 in multiplayer mods on line but Q-3 is just sitting on my computer desk collecting dust ever since Half Life came out. CS & TF mods in half life are great for multiplayer action.

You know what? i went back and played Q3 again after I red this post. It isn't a bad game, and i like how it take almost no time at all to get the multiplayer list (cable modem?). But thne of course you get the pain in the ass connection problems...

Why are you people seriously posting to this retard? There's something not quite right about him. This Quake 3 debate matered three years ago. Not anymore. Great game then, but he must have just found it in the bargain rack at CompUsa and bought it on a whim. Who the fuck is he to come on here and praise it if he's too fucking stupid to have known it existed before. I'm not being elite, but this is a gaming forum, typically populated by people who are fairly knowledgeable of games.
