Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | Hey, I have the GeForce 2 MX. Its great. You can get it for $100 if you look around. You can't go wrong with an Nvidia Chipset, especially with the Detonator 3 drivers. Any stay away from the TNT line, those are being retired so support for them may decline. The Geforce 2's do all kind of cool shading, you can get s-video out, dual monitor support. Solid cards. The other one you have listed is not something I have ever heard of and I was just recently shopping for cards. try www.pricewatch.com to find good prices. O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I just went to CompUSA and they said that I need to buy an All in One thing. It looked what I needed because I want to put things from VCR or TV to Camcorder back to video Eliza Dushku- Hotter Than Britney Read my column at Foundry

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | That's probably what I'm going to end up doing AM. CompUSA has a 14 day return period so it's worth getting just to try it out. Thanks for everyone's help Eliza Dushku- Hotter Than Britney Read my column at Foundry

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Ikea-san, you have many choices: Laptop? Go for the OrangeMicro Firewire PCMCIA (PC-card) card. This is, of course, assuming your camera is a digital video camera, meaning it has FireWire/ i.link/ IEEE 1394 on it (those are all the same thing). For analog video-in for a laptop, you're out of luck. Desktop? Go for the OrangeMicro OrangeLink+ USB 2.0/FireWire PCI card. This'll give you both FireWire ports and USB 2.0 ports (USB 2.0 is hella faster than USB 1.0, if you use it). If you want analog video, consider investing in an ATi Radeon All-In-Wonder. This thing will blow your head off. S-video out, Composite video-in, quality chipset. Also consider buying a second video card so you can have dual monitor support (Put the Monitor window in one montor, the timeline window in the other...). The Mac IS Multimedia.
