I have been editing a tecmo super bowl rom for the upcoming football season, and you can download it off my site as well as all you need to play on your PC. If any remember this game, give my version a try.

I have edited my version of Tecmo 2001 so that it is up to date for this weekend's NFL games. I have edited the sim code so it simulates accuratly as well as edited some players, playbooks and more. Check out my site and download it if Tecmo is your thing. I also have a couple different version available on my site:

Tecmo Bowl(1987)- The original game

Tecmo Super Bowl (1991)- The original version

Tecmo Super Bowl(2000)- A 2000 version that is accurate up to the Baltimore/New York Giants
Super Bowl

Tecmo Rose Bowl(1998)- A college Tecmo game for the 98 season. This is one of the best edited versions of Tecmo out there

Tecmo Rose Bowl(2001)- This is an updated version of the original Tecmo Rose Bowl for the current NCAA season. It includes 17 of the Top 25 teams.

So check out my site and enjoy!

Ok I have updated the Tecmo 2001 game for this week. I have made some big changes to the game, the most noticable being that the players attributes are not "souped up" and are more like the original tecmo super bowl game. No one's QB ratings are better than Joe Montana's, Bo Jackson and LT in the original game.

Ziggy, thanks for checking out the site and noticing that for me. Unfortunatly ROM editing is very tricky and in the original Tecmo game there were only 28 teams. As we all know there are 31 teams now, but I could not add all 31. So I had to omit some teams ( Cleveland, Cincinatti and Carolina). The reason I did not add these teams was because the track record for these teams has not been good the last couple of seasons and I wanted to make a game that was more competative. Cleveland and Cincinatti are replaced by the Jaguars and Baltimore and Carolina is just not there since the NFC West was a 4 team division back in 1991. But thank you for the feedback. Any feedback on the game is greatly appreciated since I am trying to come up with a game that simulates the NFL as close as possible.

I have edited my version of Tecmo 2001. This version is accurate as of 10/22/01. I have edited some team playbooks, team uniforms, and rosters. There were a couple WR's that were injured and will be out for the year (Marcus Robinson in Chicago and Germaine Crowell in Detroit) and I have adjusted the team rosters as well. Also, I have edited the sim code yet again so the teams that are stepping up win more consistently in COM mode (Chicago, Pittsburgh, San Diego and Green Bay) and some of the pre-season favorites that are faltering have also been adjusted (Indianapolis, Denver, Tampa Bay, Tennessee). If you want the most up to date Tecmo ROM look no further than this site! I will be updating the game weekly up until the Super Bowl! So download the latest version and enjoy!
