| Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00  | Well the time has come for me to get another game console. I was thinkin about either Gamecube, PS2, or XBox, but I'm not sure. Any ideas as to which one to get is much appreciated. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jun. 01 | The best one out there by at the moment is definately PS2. Especially with all the great games coming out within the next few months. Do yourself a favor, my friend, and get PS2 along with Onimusha and a sports title of your choice. Trust me, especially with all these great games coming out and a lot of the game developers allied with Sony, PS2 is definately a sound purchase. X-Box has a little more power at the moment, and will probably be a great console... but PS2 is definately an amazing console with amazing titles like Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 2 for the system. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | I was thinking the same thing. I have a N64 and I was planning on getting a new one out of those three but I think PS2 doesnt make much sense to buy if u dont have the old Ps1 games. Wht do u guys think? | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | I have a PS2, and it has a great library now, and it will only get better this holiday season with Silent Hill 2, MGS2, SSX Tricky, and the various sports titles. From what I read, most of the games on XBox are either horrible or available on other platforms (except for Halo and Munch's Odyssee). But I'd have to say that Gamecube. It'll be $100 cheaper to buy, you know Ninetndo will churn out great games, and the launch lineup is very solid. The Star Wars game, Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race, Pikmin, and eventually another Mario game. If I had the money, I'd buy Gamecube. As it is, I'm still happy with the PS2. | ||||
