SMACKDOWN TAPINGS

We start with video from last night's Main Event tag match, from RVD hitting Austin, to Austin tapping but being saved by RVD, to RVD tapping to Jericho but being saved by Angle, to Angle's reversal of the Stunner into the Olympic Slam for the victory.

The SmackDown video rolls and they pyros flare, and we are underway from the Pyramid. The glass breaks, and WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way out.

Austin says that he will not be disrespected by these 15,000 jackasses. That belt is his, all his, and this Sunday, he will retain it. It is called Unforgiven, which is a great name, because there is a sorry-ass punk that he will never forgive: Kurt Angle.

Put yourself in his shoes. For the past few weeks, Angle has made Austin's life a living hell, humiliated him, embarassed him. Well not tonight. Angle made him beg, made him cry, and last night, pinned his shoulders to the mat. Those things will never, ever happen again.

Kurt, this Sunday, in your hometown, Stone Cold will make an example. This belt was designed to rest on the shoulder of Stone Cold Steve Austin. It has been balanced to sit perfectly on his shoulder, and his shoulder alone. So this Sunday, when Kurt's stupid family is sitting in the first row, Austin is going to whip his ass, while Angle's brothers and parents beg for Stone Cold to stop the ass-kicking.

But he won't wait until Sunday to address his problems. If Stone Cold has a problem, he settles it with that person right away, because he is a man's man, and the leader of the Alliance. There is one person he needs to call out tonight: Torrie Wilson.

Torrie's music hits, and the Alliance female sheepishly makes her way to the ring, looking scared to death of Austin.

Austin makes her stand right in front of him. Look at her. Is she proud of herself? What kind of pathetic woman is she? She doesn't deserve to be in the same ring as Stone Cold. As Torrie begins to break down in tears, Austin asks if she is in the Alliance. If so, then what the hell is she doing with Tajiri, helping him win the US Title?

Look at her. Is she supposed to be sexy? No, she's trashy. She makes him sick. What's that? She's sorry? She wants him to stop? Why doesn't she beg to stop? No, Austin hates it when people begs. He forces her to cry, and then says that people crying makes him sick. It's so pathetic.

Austin has something for her that she will never forget. Suddenly, Tajiri rushes down the ramp and gets into it with Austin. Austin tosses him over the top and starts kicking him into the barrier. He rams Tajiri into the ringpost repeatedly, while Torrie looks on in horror.

Austin climbs back to find Torrie huddled in the corner. Austin starts to get paranoid about Torrie setting him up, even though it was he that called her out. Did she really think Tajiri could stop Stone Cold Steve Austin? He forces her to stand up, when Kurt Angle comes running down.

They get into it outside the ring, with Angle clubbing away on Austin. As Angle stomps on Austin, Tazz rushes out from the boot and locks in the Tazzmission, only to get the Olympic Slam. But it allowed Austin time to recouperate and get to his feet. Austin rams Angle repeatedly into the ringpost and then grabs a chair. Chairshot to the back, then another by Austin. Austin gets another chair and again nails Angle's back. Austin pulls back the foam padding to expose the concrete floor. He pulls Angle over the concrete and piledrives him down! Austin picks Angle up and piledrives him again!

Refs come down, as well as JR, Slaughter and Regal to check on Angle. They call for the EMTs, while the refs try to force a staring Austin to leave. The camera peers down, and Angle is laying motionless. We hear he exclaim "I can't move my arms." Fade Out.

As we come back, Angle is still being loaded onto the board, yelling that he can't feel his arms. As JR offers words of encouragement, then EMTs make a cushion around Kurt's neck and do the big lift onto the stretcher.

Kurt is wheeled away to the cheers of the crowd. We see that Faarooq and Jericho have come out to help, and the Hardys are helping move things in the back to make a clear path. They slowly load him into the ambulance, with Jericho yelling words of encouragement. Fade Out.

Hurricane & Lance Storm vs. Big Show & Spike Dudley

We come back and JR and Michael Cole are discussing what just happened in deep sorrow. I'm sorry, but commentary audio isn't working, so I can't tell exactly what they're saying.

Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through! Hurricane, Lance Storm, and Ivory make their way out for this tag match. Big Show's music hits, and the team of David and Goliath--er, I mean, Show and Spike make their way down with Molly.

Hurricane and Spike start out, with Spike elbowing instead of shaking hands. Three quick neckberakers by Spike, but Storm runs in and doubleteams him with Helms. Tag to Storm.

Storm with a few kicks to the midsection, but Spike scores a big boot and a top rope headscissor takedown. Tag to Show and to Hurricane.

Show with knockdown punches to both his opponents. Hurricane tries to use his Super Strength to lift Show, but the big man tosses Helms over the top.

Ivory and Molly argue on the apron, and Show tosses Storm inadvertantly into them. Molly and Ivory get knocked off the apron, but Hurricane is there to save Molly from falling.

In the ring, Show is ready to chokeslam Storm, but Hurricane runs in and takes out his legs. Spike tags in and tries to attack Helms from behind, but Helms tosses him into the ropes and hits his version of the Final Cut 1-2-3!

After the match, Molly and Ivory get into a fight, with Helms trying to stop them. Meanwhile, the Dudleys run in and nail Show and Spike with their Tag Titles. BuhBuh sets a table up, but Show chokes them both. Low blow by the Dudleys, and they both suplex the big man through the table.

In the back, Austin has the Alliance ready to meet. None of the members seem to be happy with the actions Austin has performed, and none of them can look him in the eye. Austin says that he wants to make sure that they are all on the same page. Either these guys are with him, or against him. He didn't piledrive Angle for himself, but for the Alliance. Angle was a threat to each of their careers. Austin did it to protect his Alliance brothers. They might think it was 'too much', but he is proud of himself for standing up for the Alliance.

Tommy Dreamer asks about Tajiri. Austin says that he stuck his nose in Austin's business, so he will get his ass-kicked. You stick your nose in Austin's business, you stick your nose in the Alliance's business, and that's something you just don't do. Fade Out.

Kronik vs. Kaientai

Kronik and Stevie Richards make their way to the ring, with the team departing from their normal black on black attire, for something with a bit more silver in it.

Stevie says that no one has ever manhandled Taker and Kane like Kronik did last Monday night. But if you think Monday was something, it will pale in comparision to what is coming this Sunday. We are looking at the next WCW Tag Champs. So tonight, they offer a small preview to their opponents, of what they can expect at Unforgiven.

With this, Taka and Funaki come out, sadly, too busy to get on the mic.

Taka and Clark start out, with Clark scoring a back elbow and then a hard spinning DDT drop 1-2-broken by Funaki. Funaki gets a Full Nelson Bomb for his trouble, and Adams tags in.

Kicks in the corner by Adams, followed with chops to the chest. Taka scores a quick kick, but is booted into the corner where he tags in Funaki.

One-handed sideslam by Adams. Funaki goes for a crossbody, but is caught. Taka goes up and dropkicks Adams, causing Funaki to fall on top. Taka attacks Clark to stop the interference 1-2-kickout.

As soon as Clark is done with his destruction of Taka, he comes in and they hit the double chokeslam on Funaki. They grab Taka and give him a double chokeslam as well 1-2-3!

In Regal's office, Regal tells Hebner that he just heard that Kurt's vital are steady and that they are doing test. Austin bursts in and starts tossing things around, demanding a match with Tajiri. Austin starts pushing Regal around, but Regal doesn't stand for it long.

Regal shoves Austin back and demands that Austin never come in here and raise his voice like that. Regal says that Tajiri would be more than happy to beat up on Austin tonight, but so would he. So Austin has a choice: fight Tajiri or fight Regal. Austin says that he has no problem with Regal, and just wants Tajiri. Regal agrees, as long as it's for the WWF Title. Fade Out.

Rob Van Dam vs. Raven

The Y2J Countdown hits 0.00, and out comes the Ayatollah. Jericho takes a seat at the commentary table, but like I said, that audio isn't working for me, so it's all for naught.

RVD's music hits, and the WWF Hardcore Champ comes down to defend his belt. As he gets to the ring, Raven runs down and hits a Russian Legsweep on the ramp.

In the ring, Raven hits a clothesline and some knees for a two count. RVD hits a step-over thrust kick, followed with a reverse splash 1-2-shoulder up.

RVD with a spinning heel kick, but Raven soon hits a drop toehold sending RVD into the ropes. Raven slams RVD's head into the mat repeatedly and then clotheslines him. Bulldog by Raven 1-2-shoulder up.

Big boot by RVD, but Raven soon locks in a sort of Half Nelson Sleeper. RVD battles out and starts kicking away on Raven, hitting a jumping calf kick and a dropkick. Flip splash by RVD 1-2-shoulder up.

The action spills to the outside, where RVD sets Raven on the barrier and hits the Apron Leap Spin Kick. As RVD gets in the ring and poses for the crowd, Raven grabs a trashcan lid and nails him with it 1-2-shoulder up.

Terri tosses Raven a chair, and Raven drop toeholds RVD smack into it 1-2-shoulder up. Raven closes the chair and lifts it up, only to have it dropkicked into his face. RVD takes a long time to pin, but even when he does, Terri distracts Teddy Long.

Raven runs at RVD, who moves, and Raven nails Terri off the apron. Spinning legdrop by RVD, who goes up top for the Five Star Frog Splash 1-2-3!

After the match, Perry Saturn runs in the ring and starts choking Raven to the mat. Terri runs in and starts pounding on him, but that only causes Perry to grab her. Raven pulls Perry around and hits the EvenFlow. He and his gal limp off, leaving Perry on the mat.

In the back, Billy Gunn and Edge are talking about Angle's injury. Edge talks about how Angle won the Gold Medal after a broken neck. Billy admits that Angle is a tough son of a bitch, but worries about his fellow wrestler. Fade Out.

Edge vs. Kanyon

A new version of Edge's music hits (sounding like Rob Zombie, but don't quote me), and the IC Champ makes his return. Who Better Than Kanyon? He hopes to prove that Edge isn't.

Edge baseball slides the entering Kanyon, and we start outside. Edge whips Kanyon into the stairs and then into the barrier repeatedly.

Back in the ring, Edge hits a flapjack and goes back to mounted punches. Edge smashes Kanyon's face into the mat. Kanyon fights up and hits a pump-handle slam 1-2-kickout.

Hard punches by Kanyon. They exchange punches in the corner, but Kanyon scores a knee to regain control. Spinning heel kick by Edge. Edge rams Kanyon into two ringposts and clotheslines him down. Edge hits a springboard forearm 1-2-kickout.

Kanyon with a neckbreaker and a two count. Reversals of suplex set-ups, with Edge pulling Kanyon to the mat and getting a two count. Big boot by Edge, who then rams Kanyon into the corner. Edge elbows the ref when he tries to pull him away.

Christian runs out to take advantage, but Edge leapfrogs him and Christian spears Kanyon. Buzzkiller by Edge 1-2-3! Fade Out.

The Hardyz vs. The Dudleyz

The Hardys come out with their gal Lita. The D-Bombs drop and the WWF Tag Champs come out, but it doesn't appear that the titles are on the line.

Matt and D-Von start, with Matt scoring lots of punches before tagging in Jeff. They hit some double team drops and get a two count early on. BuhBuh pulls Jeff out and slams him into the announce table.

Back in the ring, D-Von stomps on Jeff, while BuhBuh gets a table. Tag to BuhBuh, and then Dudleys hit a double flapjack. Punches by BuhBuh, while that table just lays flat in the corner of the ring. Back body drop by BuhBuh, who tags in D-Von.

Scoop slam by D-Von, who goes second rope and misses the diving headbutt. Tag to BuhBuh, who pulls Jeff back, but Jeff hits an enziguri and tags in Matt.

Mat hits a flying clothesline and a neckbreaker to BuhBuh, then tosses D-Von over the top. Poetry in Motion to BuhBuh. Matt goes second rope and hits the leg drop on BuhBuh 1-2-broken by D-Von.

While D-Von and Matt fight outside, Jeff goes up for the Swanton, but comes down on the matt, with BuhBuh having rolled away. D-Von tosses Jeff over the top, but Lita hits him with the HurricaneLita.

BuhBuh sees the injured Lita limping back and goes to her, but Matt stops him and takes BuhBuh's attention. Scoop slam by BuhBuh, as D-Von goes up top. Suddenly, Spike runs down and tosses D-Von off the top. BuhBuh goes to grab him, but Matt schoolboys him quick enough 1-2-3!

As Spike celebrates at the top of the ramp, Hurricane and Storm come out and Double Superkick him down. Meanwhile in the ring, the Dudleys set up the table and 3-D Matt through.

In the back, Austin is going on about Tajiri when RVD comes in. RVD asks if Austin has heard that news, but then doesn't tell him. Austin calls RVD back and makes him tell the news: Angle has checked himself out of the hospital and is on his way back. Fade Out.

Steve Austin vs. Tajiri

The glass breaks, and Stone Cold makes his way out for this Title defense. Tajiri come out and runs right at Austin.

Austin knees the hard-charging Tajiri down and stomps away on him. He tosses Tajiri out and follows. Austin rams Tajiri into the ringpost and then rams his back into it. Austin undoes Tajiri's bandages and rams his back again into the ringpost.

Austin breaks the count and rams Tajiri into the pole again. Back in the ring, Austin goes back to the stomps, including one to the groin. Ribbreaker by Austin, followed by yet more stomps. Austin picks Tajiri up and Stunners him down 1-2-3!

After the match, Austin taunts Tajiri with the Title belt and then sets him for a piledriver, when Angle's music hits.

Angle, in a plastic neckbrace, comes out on stage and stares down his assailant. Angle, who can move his arms once more, tells Austin that when Austin threw the medals into the rive, he threw away a piece of America. He will never forgive him for that. Nor will he ever forgive Austin for what he tried to do tonight. Austin is a coward who doesn't want to face Angle on Sunday. Austin knows that this is the one man that can beat him, and this Sunday at Unforgiven, Angle will walk out of his hometown as the WWF Champ. He promises Austin that he will have "no forgiveness" for Austin. With this, he tosses the neckbrace down and begins shaking with anger. Fade out.

So the "Big Job" gets his ass kicked again...This man should be destroying people.

The only good thing about the show at least Austin did not go into a twenty minute rendition of that tired old tune "what" " what"
