| HHH was on Fox News this afternoon to hype the new book "WrestleMania: The Official Insider Story". The book has a DVD inside it.
He started out by joking, "A book, for wrestling fans. Who'da thunk it?" He put over being at WWF NY and doing a book signing before going to Fox News and said that the crowd there was huge. He was asked about wrestling's popularity and he said, "People who are into it, they look at it and see it for what it is. It's a great form of entertainment." He said that compared to sporting games, wrestling is better because you don't have to hope for a good game like you do with sports. He was asked about the XFL and he said that people should give it time. He said that it does better ratings than NBA basketball.
The host asked him about his schedule and he said it was a killer. He wishes Vince McMahon could have two more hours put in a day. The host asked about his animosity with Steve Austin and he playfully said it will never be over between the two, clearly having fun and not kayfabing.
The host asked how much was written out for the wrestlers. He said a lot of work went into forming storylines, but the workers have to be able to ad lib when they go out there in front of the crowd. He also said The Rock will get an overwhelming ovation no matter what storyline he is put in so it is virtually impossible to turn "Rocky!" heel anytime soon.
He was asked about people who say that wrestling influences kids to be violent. He said wrestling was violent when he was a kid too and said parents need to do a better job raising their kids and not depend on TV to do it, which I agree with. He made a great argument for his position.
