Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 ![]() | - The WWF writing team as of a few weeks ago consisted of Stephanie McMahon, Michael Hayes, Paul Heyman and Brian Gewertz. Bruce Prichard has taken a leave of absence from his duties to remain at the side of his ill wife. Prichard's role in the past was to be somewhat of a mediator between Hayes, who likes traditional and conservative ideas and Heyman, who favors progressive storylines. With him gone, Stephanie McMahon will likely step up and assume a more leader oriented role. - The WWF is still scheduling a talent draft for sometime in the early part of 2002. It was originally assumed that January 7 would be the date for this to occur but this has not been confirmed or announced by the WWF in any way. Regardless, once the roster splits into two "divisions", it is expected that title changes will "slow down" because the writing team will not have to rush such changes mainly because there will only be one show per week to write for. - Most people backstage have shown a positive reaction to the WWF pulling their offers from Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. A lot of officials agree that from a business standpoint, it was the best thing to do. ![]() I'm Deep Inside Your Children. They Will Betray You In MY Name. She-Mail Me Here

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 ![]() | Some more news, from wrestlingobserver.com: The reports we have are that Nash is willing to negotiate on the dates (which had been the sticking point) and work closer to a full schedule. As expected, his timing is perfect because WWF is looking for something big for its latest new beginning (this is becoming so much like WCW over the last 18 months) on 1/7 and the company is agreeable now to using Shawn Michaels. No matter what anyone says, hiring Nash will change that company in a big way. They've blown creative on gimmees so much this past year that it's hard to predict anything but a short-term boost, which they will get. But it was stall elevation of newcomers and those consistent great main events will be a thing of the past unless Nash always works as HHH, Angle, Benoit or Austin's tag partner or opponent. There is no deal, and Nash also may be using this as a publicity ploy simply to up his offer from WWA, where there are a lot of advantages, such as an easier schedule, not having to work as hard in the ring, and guaranteed keeping his position (although politically I think his chances in WWF are pretty good). --TNS Intersearch did a poll of sports fans, largely for marketing research for sneaker companies, and listed this as the popularity of the various sporting leagues among those above the age of 12 out of the 15 leagues asked about: 1) NFL; 2) Major League Baseball; 3) College Football; 4) NBA; 5) Figure Skating (that high womens audience makes it always do well in surveys like this which is why it does so well with advertisers); 6) College Basketball; 7) NASCAR; 8) WNBA; 9) NHL; 10) Horse Racing; 11) Arena Football League; 12) Pro Wrestling (not called WWF or sports entertainment so I guess McMahons years of branding haven't hit the mainstream yet); 13) Major League Soccer; 14) PGA; 15) Pro Boxing.

Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 ![]() | The latest on Nash from Bob Ryder of 1wrestling.com.quote: Now, keep in mind 1wrestling.com has gone down the shitter as a whole in terms of credibility over the past few months from what they once were, and Ryder himself NEVER had credibility,so take it with a grain of salt. But, if this is true, it is an absolutely awful business decision by Vince. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO!
