I'm sure they will probably release a tape on it. ------------------- But there's also this: there are over 5,000 men in this city, who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done. I know it, too, and I'm damn glad to be one of them."

O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | I think the Benoit/Jericho ladder match should have been way higher, I had totally forgotten how good that match was. My pick for match of the year didn't even make the top ten: Benoit/Angle Cage Match on RAW, that was amazing. The Winner Take All Match was horrible, I don't know why it was up there. I thought yesterdays RAW would be 1 hour Viewers Choice thing then the other 2 hours a normal RAW, I was kind of dissapointed with it.

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | you are right rageparty, the BENOIT-JERICHO ladder match and the BENOIT-ANGLE cage match should have been number#1 & 2 matches of the year. those three wrestlers i think are the hardest working wrestlers in the wwf right now. He's basically carried the WWF all year even though his neck and back aren't in the best of shape, and does an excellent job with the crap the writers give him to work with. Just imagine how much lower the WWF would have sunk if they didn't have Austin as the backbone. Anyway, the Austin/Benoit smackdown match was the best of the year, IMO. The fact that this didn't make the show, along with Benoit/Angle from WM, while HHH/Taker and the Survivor Series suckfest both made it, is further proof that the WWF is run by a bunch of braindead retards.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | Ahhh come on, HHH/Taker wasn't so bad. I actually liked it, and I bet the only reason you guys are saying its crappy is because of the kind of wrestler Taker is. That match wasn't that bad, just looking at that chokeslam made me cringe. God that close up view made it look real. I'd say the worst 2 matches on the list had to be Austin/Rock at Wrestlemania and the Winner Take All match. You have to admit, the first half of 2001 had some great matches, it wasn't until HHH and Benoit went down that WWF started to suck and it just carried on with the Invasion angle...

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | HHH/Taker wasn't awful, but there were a whole lot of better matches that didn't make the show. The fact that the ref was knocked out for 15 minutes (riiiight...) leading to a mediocre outside-the-ring brawl doesn't help it's case, not with me anyway. DDP vs Sara is NUMBER 1

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | All of these matches were voted on by the FANS who logged on to WWF.COM. The WWF threw up a bunch of matches and the fans picked it. The 10 finalists made the show and were put in order of how many votes they got. I agree 100% that HHH vs Austin 2 out 3 falls was the best match of the year. They even said over 40000 people voted for this match.

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | quote:I know this, but I also know that Benoit vs. Austin wasn't on the ballot and I don't think Benoit vs. Angle was there either. I also question whether the poll results are legit. Anyway, for the hell of it, my top ten: 1 - Austin vs. Benoit (Smackdown) 2 - Benoit vs. Angle (WM) 3 - Austin vs. Benoit (Raw) 4 - Austin vs. HHH (2/3 falls, NWO) 5 - Angle vs. Benoit (Cage, Raw) 6 - Austin/HHH vs. Benoit/Jericho (Raw) 7 - Jericho vs. Benoit (Royal Rumble) 8 - Jericho vs. Rock (No Mercy) 9 - Austin vs. Rock (WM) 10- Guerrero vs. Benoit (Smackdown?) Of course, I might be forgetting something.
