| Rumors are flying that Shawn Michaels could return to the WWF tonight on Smackdown which airs live from his hometown of San Antonio, TX. There is talk that the WWF has offered HBK the special guest ref role at WrestleMania once Bret Hart turned it down. Vince McMahon and most of the WWF's management team has been in Texas all week so a meeting between them and Michaels may have occured.
At this point please only take the above story as a RUMOR.

Ah, gotta love 1wrestling.com, always making sure to cover their bases if their info ends up beinig embarassingly wrong. It would make an interesting storyline twist to have HBK ref the HHH world title match, though, and I think Jericho might actually win if that's the case! Not likely, but it would be MORE likely.

| actually i really think that jericho is going to win the match with or without a special cheating ref. i just think that he is carrying the ball very well for them right now, and they are going to keep him going for the time being. besides, if michaels comes back, it will most likely be as a member of the nwo, and that will give hbk someone to fued with after his loss at wm18...

SmackDown! preview for March 7, 2002
SmackDown! kicks off live this Thursday night from the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas, only on UPN!
As announced this past Monday on RAW, The Rock will be returning to Federation programming this Thursday on SmackDown!
Since the nWo beat down, then ran over, the Great One a few weeks ago on RAW, the People's Champ has been itching to get a measure of revenge on Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. With his epic WrestleMania X8 battle against Hogan just a little over a week away, what with The Rock have in store for this trio this Thursday on UPN?
The nWo should also be watching out for an enraged Rattlesnake, after what happened on RAW. Stone Cold was once again triple-teamed, and the Bionic Redneck was forced to seek medical attention at a nearby medical facility. You just know that Stone Cold will be waiting for the trio this Thursday in his home state of Texas.
Another question entering this Thursday's broadcast is whether or not Fderation co-owner Ric Flair will accept the Undertaker's challenge to a match at WrestleMania X8. The Dead Man has already taken out Flair's best friend, Arn Anderson, and his oldest son, David, but Taker made the allusion that he was going to go after Flair's daughter next -- that is, unless Flair faces him at WrestleMania? What will Flair do?
Finally, the separated first couple of the Federation -- Triple H and Stephanie -- continue to air their problems on Federation television.
On RAW, Stephanie bashed The Game with two chair shots, allowing Kurt Angle to pick up the victory against her former lover. Will the friction between the two continue on SmackDown!? What will Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho have to say about it?
Four matches have already been made for tonight's broadcast. Rob Van Dam will challenge Goldust for the Hardcore Championship. Al Snow will team up with Maven to take on the Undertaker in a handicap match. Kane battles Chris Jericho in singles action. Finally, in a battle of sexy Federation Divas, the lovely Lita goes one-on-one with Stacy Keibler!
Watch it all unfold this Thursday, live on UPN's SmackDown! Check your local listings for time and channel!

| I missed the show live, but got home around 10:30pm and just finished watching the tape. Just as I imagined, it was "WWF in Texas...HBK Finally Returns...But Then, Oops, He Doesn't...Take 27" Will we EVER see this fuckin guy again? I can understand him turning down the guest ref spot at Mania just because he was a second choice to Bret, but with his buddies back in the fold, can't they find something for him to do. I thought, for sure, Hall wearing his "KLIQ" trunks was a harbinger of HBK's return. What the fuck?!
Couldn't the WWF throw its' fans a proverbial bone? It's not like they've been knocking our socks off with their shows for the past few months. How great would it have been to see HBK return tonight....then while we're still feeling warm and fuzzy about his return, they spring Scotty Steiner on us at Mania. Personally I hate the fucking 'Roid Freak, but the fans in general would go nuts. The WWF has become piss-poor at surprising its' fans, I just hope Mania doesn't suck or I might actually stop watching.

| HBK will return in some form to the WWF at some point...But after the influx of guys that have appeared in the WWF in the last year, they can't just bring in everyone at once, it makes for to many storylines.
