It would be sad to see Vince leave Raw, and if Austin isn't on Raw it'll suck even more. He's won 3 WWF Titles on Raw, and he soaked the Corporation, got crucified by Taker and so much more. Any money he'll end up on SmackDown as Vince's first pick... | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | at first, i wanted Vince to take over RAW too. But, as i thought about it, it makes more sense for Vince to have Smackdown, for a few reasons. 1. Smackdown is on basic TV (yes there are people without cable, my grandparents watch wrestling every week and they only have basic TV). Vince McMahon would provide those network viewers with a product that they would be interested in. People who only watch once a week know Vince a lot more than they know Ric Flair. 2. Ratings for RAW have always been higher than Smackdown. Vince always takes these challenges in stride, and im sure he would want to be the one to make Smackdown just as big, if not bigger, than RAW. Of course, it is network TV, so he has more restrictions than Flair does, but he can work around that. 3. If Flair had Smackdown, there would be less of a reason to watch it than if Vince had Smackdown. More fans would rather watch the heel boss get his ass beat by the face wrestler, or the heel boss screw the face wrestler, than the other way around. People watch RAW anyway, this decision will not take those viewers away, but this decision will add viewers towards Smackdown. Of course, the draft will have a huge part in the identity of each show. My prediction is that this RAW will be the highest rated RAW since the DX days. Go Knicks, Giants, Rangers, and the 2002 World Champs: New York Mets Long Live Psycho Bitch | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 02 | I had heard through the grapevine that they wanted to break one of the tag teams up. I don't see the Hardy's going nor do I see Billy + Chuck... I got the strangest feeling the Dudleys will be broken up. I think it adds to shock and excitement. This way we can see what comes of it. Also it should be interesting to see what happens with nWo now that XPac is added and where the Rock and Hogan go as well.. I can't wait! -Hollywood Hulkamania | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Dec. 01 | I don't really know what to think in regards to the split. On one hand I would love to see something like this because it's new and exciting. On the other, I think this could turn out to be another cockamamey idea by Vince (XFL?) that might burst right in Vince's face. Jim Ross himself said in an interview that this is a very risky move. From what I've heard, Vince is the main guy pushing for this roster split. It could gain alot of success and boost up the WWF's ratings again. Or this could totally fuck everything up and force Vince to backpedal to how things were prior to the split, making Vince looks like a total ass. Eh, I guess it wouldn't be the first time Vince would look ridiculous. Only time can tell how this is gonna go I guess.  | ||||
