- Immediately after Wrestlemania where Hulk Hogan received a largely favorable reaction from the audience, Vince McMahon had Hogan fly to his home in Tampa, FL and collect his photos and video screens as well as red and yellow outfit for a full face turn at RAW the next night in Montreal. However, before the show took place McMahon was talked out of it by various personnel who suggested that Hogan in black (but not nWo black) was more or less a "cooler" version of the old Hulkamania.

- Those who support Hogan in black suggest that the yellow-and-red Hogan is merely nostlagic and that its effects would wear off really quickly, much like what happened to Hogan in WCW in the mid 90s.

- The WWF is trying to get Scott Steiner to see a neurologist about his foot problem. Apparently his drop foot syndrome is nerve related as opposed to something that will be fixed via physical therapy which is how Steiner is attempting to rehab it right now.

- Steve Austin reportedly originally refused to work with Hulk Hogan, forcing the WWF to use the Rock in his place at Wrestlemania. However, a lot of people concluded that Austin was smart for doing that, especially after seeing Hogan out-pop the Rock at the PPV.

- The original plan for the Hall-Austin Wrestlemania match as reported before was for Kevin Nash and X-Pac to interfere, causing Hall to win and prolonging the Austin vs. nWo angle. However, the plan was changed about a week before when at the urging of other wrestlers, Vince decided to give Austin the win. The day of Wrestlemania, Hall was apparently in "bad shape" again, so Austin decided that not only did he want to win, but that he wanted to end his feud against the nWo and that's why they did the blowoff finish where Austin defeated Hall with no real questions asked.

- Despite getting the finish changed to meet his requests, Austin was so unhappy at the creative direction of the WWF, he flew straight home and missed RAW and Smackdown! that week. On RAW, he was only scheduled to take part in an interview so the WWF didn't have too much trouble re-writing the script.

- Before Vince McMahon went ahead and signed the nWo, the working plan was for Steve Austin to face Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania. However, when word came in that Benoit would be unable to wrestle, all plans were obviously changed and in fact, a week later, Hall and Nash were signed.

-Former ECW Champion Steve Corino was backstage at the WWF Smackdown taping last night. Corino was invited to the show by the WWF. The two sides discussed a possible announcing role for Corino in the WWF. The WWF has been trying out many wrestlers for announcing roles recently including D-Lo Brown, Dean Malenko, Steven Richards, and Raven.

Personally, I'd rather see Corino as an active wrestler.

Chris Benoit vs. Austin would have been the match of the night. They already had some rivalry brewing from 2001. I would love to see them meet on PPV some time soon.

Can you believe it?

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure he's retired.

Actually, he's still very much active. He has his own promotion just outside of Philly (Premiere Wrestling Federation, based in Reading, PA), and he's still very much in demand on the national and international indy circuit.

Exactly. He's been doing a lot of work on the indies, including a run as the NWA champion and has been doing some work for Shinya Hashimoto's ZERO-ONE promotion.

That's why I want to see him as an active wrestler. He's supposedly developed into a pretty good worker. Think about it - he certainly can't be any worse than Bossman.

Well, I stand corrected. I thought I read somewhere he retired, and I just realized now that I got him confused with Mikey Whipwreck. Those silly ECW alumni, I always get them mixed up.

Well then, hell yeah, I 'd rather see him wrestle. He's got an annoying, whiny voice anyway to do commentary. But I must disagree with Se7en on one thing:

How dare you slap the greatest technical wrestler of our era in the face like that? Better than the Bossman? Yeah, sure, right! Oops, I forgot to use the sarcasm tool for that one.

Corino coming in would be great...give him a program against mike sanders and they can put on a great promo fest, then actually wrestle unlike hogan and the rock. that would be nice (in my eyes)...

as for steiner, he isn't what the nwo needs, what they need is to do the backstage attacks. no more in the ring stuff for them except for jumping a guy and leaving through the crowd. establish them that way (should have been done from the beginning) similar to how it went down when they "invaded" wcw. of course, it may be too late for that.

More on Austin: it appears that he's rebelling against what he sees as a HHH/nWo backstage alliance. Between HHH's friendship with Hall and Nash, his real-life relationship with Stephanie, and his status as the champ, HHH has fixed himself as "the man"; furthering the problem is Hogan's push as the #3 face after the response he got in Canada (which might not last long based on how he was received in Penn State). Austin is trying to hold his ground, and doesn't want to go back until he's in a big storyline against a top name.

Stephanie won't be on TV until summer at the earliest.

Expect the main Raw/Smackdown trade to involve the nWo going to Smackdown in exchange for Angle and Benoit. There will be other trades, such as reuniting tag teams and evening out the star power. As it stands now, Smackdown clearly has the advantage, and the WWF realizes it.

Those who weren't drafted last night will be integrated in the next few weeks where possible.

Plans are for there to be a HHH vs Undertaker feud, with HHH focusing his time on Raw. Apparently, the WWF forgot about what happened to buyrates LAST FRIGGIN YEAR when Undertaker headlined PPVs.

Look for the B-shows to feature more wrestling and less recaps. YAYYYYYYY!

Here are some good rumors from Dith's wrestling site

That's the rumor I heard. HHH is now consolidating his power, and anyone who has any sort of bad word for him, he buries, or tries to bury, in the booking meetings (which he sits in on, if not contributes to).

I supported Austin on his little "work-strike", and I still support him. He sees the political bullshit starting again, and he's worried about it. In a self-serving way, he's covering his own ass, or trying too, but Austin is smart enough to realize what all of this stuff means....he dealt with the Cliq before, in 96 - 97. He knows how bad things could get.

Here's one of the best explanations as to why I support Austin, written by a guy I know on a messageboard:

"I think people are defending Austin's actions to send a statement to Vince and Co. that the shit that's supposedly going down is not going unnoticed. His actions are a direct result of a) the company's insistence on putting out an inferior product, thus bringing down Austin's ability to market himself, b) the political shenanigans by HHH et al that is furthering the deterioration of locker room morale, proper utilization of talent, etc., and c) the lack of direction the company seems to have, what with the shoddy, haphazard booking and writing as of late. In many people's mind, Austin is looking out for not only his well being but the welfare of the company as a whole, because in this monopoly that Vince has created, there aren't a whole lot of options should WWFE go up like the Spruce Goose"

Good enough for me. Maybe Austin is looking out for the greater good, maybe he's just looking out for number one - either way, it's enough for me to support his recent actions, and feel that he was in the right.

If the political games are beginning anew, I'd like to hope that Vince would step in and put an end to them. However, since Daddy's Little Whore is currently fucking the prime suspect, I'm not counting on a resolution until things get much, much worse.

You know, at first, I thought Austin was being a whiny bitch, but Jesus, after hearing and reading all this shit about HHH's games, I applaud him. Bra-fucking-vo for standing up to it, Stone Cold, and here's hoping guys like the Rock and other guys with power (through their popularity) follow suit if it gets any more out of hand.

I just hope Austin doesn't come crawling back like a pussy. Hopefully, more people will follow his lead and walk out, forcing stockholders to take notice and demand some changes.

I can dream, can't I?
