For the benefit of those without pop-up stoppers, here's Ryder's write-up:

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Bret Hart suffered a mild stroke on Monday. Meltzer reports that Hart was thrown from his bicycle after hitting a pothole and struck the back of his neck and head when he landed.

According to the Meltzer report, Hart has limited control of the left side of his body and will require a lengthy hospital stay while he goes through therapy to relearn how to use his left arm and leg.

After initial reports hit the internet regarding the accident, a message from Bret Hart was sent to his fans via his email list that downplayed the accident. In that message, Hart said he was undergoing tests as a precaution because of the problems he had experienced in the past as a result of a series of concussions.

Meltzer's report says doctors expect Hart to make nearly a full recovery.

They have definitely had their share of rough times..but gotta go with the Von Erich family for wrestlings all time family problems..

David Von Erich - Died February 10, 1984 in Tokyo at age 25, Japan of a drug overdose, although the press was fed a story about intestinal problems.

Mike Von Erich - Died April 12, 1987 after committing suicide at the age of 23 by overdosing on Placidly, a tranquilizer.

Chris Von Erich - Died September 12, 1991 at the age of 21 after committing suicide by shooting himself.

Kerry Von Erich - Died February 18, 1993 at the age of 33 after committing suicide by shooting himself. He has been arrested that day on cocaine possession, violating his probation on another drug charge.

Jack Von Erich died as a child when he was accidentally electrocuted and drowned in a puddle while playing outside.

God, I've been sooooo waiting for this day. He's not dead, so I don't feel bad, but he's seriously hurt and suffering. Who says Christmas comes but once a year?
