The scheduled plan was to have The Rock beat the Undertaker for the WWE Title at Vengeance, then go on to lose the belt to Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. With Undertaker looking to turn face, WWE may have him now go on to Summerslam to face Brock for the title, while giving the Rock a high profile undercard match at Vengeance, possibly with Kurt Angle, and Summerslam. The Rock will only be back for 6 weeks so it makes some sense not to put the belt on him for such a short time. Credit: 1wrestling.com ------------ Thank God it's from 1wrestling.com, so it's likely a crock of shit. But, then you never know. And if it IS true, then why, Vince why? Why do you have to not only change Taker to a face, where he's infinitely more boring as a character, but also have to give us more time with him as champ? Ick. It should be said that this contradicts other rumors that have Angle winning the belt and maybe becoming face, so maybe (hopefully) if there is a change in plans, it's ANGLE v. Brock, not Taker. I still think the Rock would be the best choice from a buyrate standpoint, obviously. Oh, and he's coming back for only 6 weeks? Way to throw the guys who actually like you (I know i'm an extinct species on this board when it comes to that) a bone, Dwayne. Geez. :rolleyes: 1. 94 Wins and the NL East title 2. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 01 | I still say the smart thing to do is have RVD go over Brock at Vengeance with some kind of stip that allows him to take Brock's place in the title match at SS. This would leave you with RVD vs. Taker at SummerSlam, with Taker going over. In an undercard match, you could have Brock vs. Rock, with Brock going over. You could even do an injury angle, where Lesnar supposedly puts Rock out of action. Then Rocky goes to film his movie, and Lesnar, maybe gets some heat (lord knows he has NONE of it right now). That'd leave you with RVD as the champ, and it would allow you to do a heat-up angle for the next PPV (Unforgiven I guess) to have Brock challenge RVD for the gold. It'd work because everyone involved (except for Rock) has history with their prospective opponents. Logically, it makes great sense to follow this plan. Conceptually, it's no worse than any other plan they will come up with. Trying to predict what they will do is all but impossible, though. Only flaw in this plan is that you'd have to have Taker keep the gold for another month and a half, and I don't know if the fans will stand for that. Oh, and about the Rock - I've found that I'm becoming a much bigger Rock fan now that he's gone and doing movies. I've never had a problem with Rocky as a person, which is why I wish his movie career does quite well.  The HHHaters Why did the Game cross the glass? To hold down the talent on the other side! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | Yeah and who are the high profile Canadians that could go up against Taker and Angle?? Jericho and Storm or Test or Val Venis?? Don't get me wrong, Jericho is my favourite wrestler right now even though he has been thrown around and Storm is one of my favourites but he hasn't even wrestled on PPV yet. Test, Christian and Val Venis aren't very suitable for it either... The whole USA vs. Cananda thing (if it happens) will probably be a midcard thing... Life Isn't | ||||

Benoit is supposed to be a SmackDown wrestler so if they could make Y2J & Benoit a Tag Team, give them the Tag Belts and give some meaninng back to those Titles. It could work, but you know it won't happen. What you'll see is Storm, Christian, Test, and Jericho going on strike waving Canadian flags and parading outside the building... Life Isn't | ||||
