| After reading this, it made me feel pretty convinced that Gerwertz is one of the main reasons WWE has been going downhill lately. Granted, there are already Nash threads, but i thought i needed to start a new topic because this focuses on Brian Gerwertz.
NASH WASN'T TOLD HE WAS WRESTLING ON RAW UNTIL HE GOT TO BUILDING, HEADING TO ALABAMA LATER TODAY
by Dave Scherer Updated: 7/9/2002 1:00:22 AM
Kevin Nash is flying to Birmingham, AL first thing this morning to meet with Dr. James Andrews and have an MRI on his injured quad muscle. At that point, it will be decided what course of action is needed for his injury. The truly sad thing about the injury is that Nash didn't even know that he would be wrestling tonight until he got to the building earlier today. He was scheduled to return to action this coming weekend at the house shows, but when he arrived at Raw, he found out that he was booked on tonight's show. From what I heard, he didn't even have his gear with him.
There were many people backstage pointing the finger for that screwup at Brian Gerwertz, who is in charge of Raw. As the point man for the show, it is his responsibility to communicate with the talent and tell them what their role will be on the show, especially when you consider that Nash wasn't scheduled to wrestle yet and obviously would not be planning on doing it. When you also consider that Steve Austin went home, in part, because Gerwertz did not tell him about his plan to have Austin lose to Brock Lesner on Raw, there are some saying that Gerwertz, who is often seen reading comic books backstage and is looked at by many as nowhere near authoritative enough for his position, is in over his head being in charge of Raw.
Thanks to Austin for the pic

| Gerwertz sucks. I'm pretty sure he was the mastermind behind Mae Young giving birth to a rubber hand.
With this dick and Stephanie writing Raw, it's no wonder why this show sucks.

| Gerwitz is horrible, and should have been fired a long time ago, but you can't blame him for Austin leaving or Nash getting hurt. Austin left because of the company as a whole - Gerwitz was just one factor of many. Nash would have injured himself anyway, regardless of when he returned. He's worthless and fragile, another 5 days of rest won't turn a glass body into steel.
This article is just Scherer being Scherer - looking out for number one. Scherer is Paul Heyman's buddy, and Heyman has the most to gain if Gerwitz is ousted. If Heyman gets more leverage in the company, guess who's chances of getting a nice job with WWE.com or WWE magazine greatly increase? The ex ECW.com webmaster and Heyman ass-kisser, Dave Scherer, perhaps?
Scherer's a weasel, and this crap he passes off as journalism is sick. There's plenty of reasons to hate Gerwitz as a writer, but Nash's injury and Austin's moment of clarity aren't his fault. The horrible programming should be enough.

| First off, what Sir O said is totally correct.
Second off, why should he be fired if he's the main reason Nash got injured? Hell, I'm willing to throw him a fucking parade for this stroke of genius.
Third off, if he's gonna get fired for Monday night, he should be fired cuz the show was so God damned awful. I find myself watching ESPN Classic baseball games way too much on Monday nights nowadays. I used to defend Raw as better than Smackdown because there was more potential for young guys to go over. But, it's clear that Smackdown is the show for that. I enjoy Smackdown 10 times better nowadays than Raw. On Raw, all the stars of the future, either are made to look gay (Booker T, Eddie G, Benoit, and RVD) or suck and nobody likes them, but they continue to be pushed anyway (Bubba Ray, Brock Lesner. I understand why Brock's getting a push, he's one of those big guys Vince masturbates to. BUT BUBBA RAY???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? He might be funny on O&A and all, but he's an out of shape boring fuckwad who shouldn't even sniff offense against Benoit and Guererro). It's so frustrating to watch.
And can someone explain why Ric Flair is wasting his time fighting Stevie Richards in a squash?
