| First is Nash. Most of you have already read he will sit out his final ten months of his contract and collect the two (2?!?) million, then try to sign with the WWF. This seems to be right since Nash has stated this in interviews and explained that he would make the same money if he took the buy out option and wrestled or if he stayed home and let his injuries heal. Rumors contradict eachother over whether he would be able to sign with the WWF or not. Some say Vince is not interested and he burned his bridge, others say his close friendship with HHH and the fact that Vince doesn't hate him as much as others will help him get signed. I guess we will have to wait the ten more months and see.
Next Goldberg. This is just in! "Don't count on seeing Goldberg in The WWF or new WCW. It looks as though Goldberg will sit out the remaining two years on his Time Warner contract. Goldberg and Steve Austin's contracts expire at about the same time. The two are friends and have discussed running a PPV match against each other when their contracts expire and splitting all the money and then signing with The WWF. Of course, this can't happen for 2-2 1/2 years so don't hold your breath because who knows what the wrestling landscape will look like then." Goldberg never wanted to be a wrestler to begin with, so I figured he would take his contract and get his money. Wonder if many "fans" will remember Goldberg in 2 and 1/2 years. With the cycles wrestling goes in, I wonder if people would buy a PPV with a guy who hasn't wrestled in almost three years in the main event? Like Nash we will have to wait and see, just a little longer this time.
As for Sting (like everything else on the net) there have been posts stating many different things about Sting. This is the most recent. "It is doubtful Sting will accept a buyout of his contract by Time Warner/AOL so don't count on seeing him in the WWF/WCW anytime soon." I had also read that he would retire, which goes with this story. Sting just doesn't seem to be the "Main Eventer" that he used to be. The only headliner to not jump ship at anytime will never work for Vince. Not that he didn't want to or doesn't want to now, it just never happened. I wonder how big Sting would have been if Vince and his marketing team would have been behind him. Unfortuneately in this case we can't wait and will never know. Opps did I say never. Never say never in the wrestling business.
