On another note, Road Dogg was arrested AGAIN at an NWA Mid-Atlantic show in Conway, SC for disorderly conduct. Also, I do think being "the Prince" DID have something to do with it. With Road Dogg, they suspended him and constantly offered paid rehab before they canned him. GMS just got dropped. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I don't know whether being the King's son had anything to do with this or not, but the WWF was at least attempting to make it look like there was no problem with GMS after the King walked out. He was suppose to be getting a push and had been on RAW a lot after his dad walked. Especially for a wrestler whose gimmick was on the shelf while his partner was out. But you guys are compairing a lot of things that can't be compared. It was said that if drugs were a reason for being fired Vince would have no wrestlers. Well, I don't know if that statement is true or not, but GMS sexy was not fired because he had or was taking drugs. He was fired because he got caught with drugs. Totally different. I know Vince doesn't like any of his employees to be taking drugs since the steriod case in the late 80's but I don't know how strict the WWF is about enforcing a no drug policy. I am sure they will tighten up a little now. Also this case was compared with the Road Dogg and how the Road Dogg was given chances while GMS was not. Like I mentioned before GMS was caught by authorities, Road Dogg was not arrested. With the Road Dogg the WWF was able to give him chances to clean up. With GMS Vince had no option but to fire him and try to minimize the negative publicity. A few side notes here I read a column by somebody who spoke directly to RVD who stated that he was signed by WWFE and would be in the WCW when it started. I don't know the validity of this but the guy stated that RVD flat out said he was signed. Also, as I am sure most of you know the Road Dogg Jesse James was arrested over the weekeend for disorderly conduct at an Indy show when he refused to stop signing autographs in the ring during the intermission. The show couldn't continue with him in the ring and when they brought cops in to remove him he mouthed off or something and got arrested. | ||||

No big deal but GMS was doing nothing for the Federation and his act was old so they used the arrest as an excuse to can his ass. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I read that a Memphis television station did a report on the arrest and quoted Jerry Lawler saying that the arrest was for a muscle building drug that is illegal in Canada but not in the US. They quoted an unnamed WWF official as saying that they "do not approve of breaking the law". I wonder if they would have been a little more understanding if his father wasn't the King? | ||||
