Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | WWF Smackdown on UPN score a 5.0 overnight rating with an 8 share, good enough to place UPN in third place on Thursday Night. The main event garnered a large 5.8 rating. credit: 1wrestling.com With Friends and Survivor gone its time for the ratings to rise again. **Official Painter of Billboards** Opie and Anthony: The thinking mans Beavis and Butthead -Playboy Mafia Mob Lieut.--Darippa Serious posts only

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Yeah, i wonder if the wwf's top demographic has stopped watching survivor and friends and started watching smackdown. this is good timing with the invasion beginning ratings should get pretty huge. **Official Painter of Billboards** Opie and Anthony: The thinking mans Beavis and Butthead -Playboy Mafia Mob Lieut.--Darippa Serious posts only

Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Yeah, I agree that the Survivor and Friends stuff definitely is helping, but I think quality of show is what is REALLY helping. If it sucks, people will just change the channel anyway, as we saw with Raw when Nitro went off the air. Ratings actually went DOWN a couple after that, cause they weren't impressing anyone. The WWF was sucking a couple months ago (hell, a couple of weeks ago!), but DAMN! they are back in a big way! Better storylines and killer matches, that Benoit-Austin match last night rocked on so many levels. PPV quality and kicked the ass of many PPV main events anyway, IMO. I think with the increase in quality, like goatweed said, the WWF will actually KEEP the added viewers this time, and ratings will start to go up somewhat again. Bottom line: put on a good show, and people will watch. How many times did you flip the channel during the height of that inane Taker/Kane v. Austin/HHH storyline a few weeks ago? Now, I'm back to not using that remote. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO!
