It's been a challenging week in more ways than one. Lots of travel with three live events in three days in three different time zones, and then, finally, the final day of the road trip in Tucson where I unexpectedly did commentary on SmackDown! Nobody ever said this schedule was going to be easy!

Tucson was especially a tough day with the Jerry Lawler - Kat situation. A very unfortunate set of circumstances unfolded in a day I personally will not soon forget.

No Way Out delivered in Las Vegas in a big time way from where I sit. Triple H - Austin was simply a hellacious piece of business. A phenomenal body of work by two awesome talents. I thought Angle - Rock was a hot match that told a super story. Stephanie - Trish delivered more than I ever dreamed it would. My hats off to both these young ladies. I really liked the Fatal Four Way, as it featured four of my favorite in-ring talents. The Triple Threat Tag match was physical, and was highlighted by hard work and extraordinary effort by all six involved in the match. The Right to Censor business had the unenviable task of following the Rattlesnake- Game encounter, which wasn't easy, but all involved worked hard and delivered as expected in my view. The Hardcore Title match got the show off to a solid start. Raven, Show, and company worked hard and our fans seemed to get into the contest.

I can’t argue with that logic but as we all know stranger things have happened in the Federation. In any event, Angle and The Rock are two of our very best young performers and I think the overall quality of this contest may surprise us. It will be very good but it could be excellent.
The “cluster principal” may be a factor in the Triple Threat Tag Title Table Match between Undertaker/Kane, Edge/Christian, and the Dudley Boyz. If this match gets off to a good start, this one has a chance to be a sleeper at No Way Out. I know all six guys in this match will have a great effort and that’s where any good match starts.

I love the Intercontinental Championship Fatal Four Way between Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, X-Pac, and Eddie Guerrero. These four guys can all go and this one could be a show stealer. We should see some excellent offense here.

The Stephanie-Trish attraction obviously will not be a Jack Brisco-Dory Funk, Jr. classic, but it’s not intended to be. But, if kept relatively short, should be entertaining.

The King’s match versus Steven Richards has a nice storyline and will be better than some may think. Expect lots of “garnish” in this one.

What can we expect from the Big Show-Raven Hardcore Title match? Lots of gimmicks? Probably. Unique spots? No doubt. Both these talents seem to be under a microscope and I’m sure they will give it all they can. In their minds, both men have something to prove and I hope they succeed.

At this time, seven matches are on tap but there is always a chance of another being added Sunday on MTV’s HEAT. Hopefully, we will be able to deliver as good an event as we had last month at the Royal Rumble. I can’t wait to be a part of this show!

Scotty 2 Hotty is having problems with what we think is a pinched nerve in his neck. He will take it easy for the next couple of weeks.

William Regal’s neck problem is much better as evidenced by his SmackDown! match with Test. I am personally very happy for Regal because of the way he has gotten his life and career back on track.

Bob Holly’s surgically repaired broken arm is giving him some problems but is not expected to keep him out of action at this time. I assure you this guy is plenty tough.

Y2J is doing physical therapy to ease the pain of a herniated disc in his lower back.

Justin Credible, whose name still may change, is a welcome addition to our roster. He and X-Pac could form a super duo, in my opinion.

Tazz, Lita and Rikishi had a very successful autograph session Wednesday night at the Virgin MegaStore in New York City to help launch WWF The Music Volume 5. Over 800 autographs were signed in a little over two hours.

Chyna did a People Magazine photoshoot Thursday in Los Angeles in support of her book, “If They Only Knew.” The book will move to No. 2 on the New York Times best seller list in the next week, we are told.

Some unique storylines are being discussed and should be in place, to some degree, as we head to WrestleMania. After WrestleMania, several new storylines will definitely be introduced.

Jerry Lynn has signed his Federation contract but does not have a start date as I am writing this. Jerry is a veteran hand who brings a great deal of talent and professionalism to the Federation.

My lobbying for the light heavyweight division seems to be falling on deaf ears but I’ll keep singing their praises until I’m told to leave it alone.

Rhino, whose name may also be changed, had a solid dark match in Kansas City this week. This kid is in his early 20s, has lost about 20 pounds and looks to be in excellent condition. He will start on TV in the next few weeks. Rhino should grow into a main eventer here in time.

My BBQ sauce project looks promising and should get on track in the next few weeks.

A couple of my remarks in this column have been criticized in the last week and after reading the critiques of the wrestling media, I can see where they are coming from. I meant no malice, however, I will be more selective in what I write in the future. Sometimes, as I am learning, the truth on some matters are better left unsaid.

The Memphis territory’s Jonesboro, Ark. event Wednesday night was a huge success.
Gangrel has been cleared to return to work. No solid plans for him creatively at this time. I'm glad he's healthy. Solid guy.

William Regal's promo work has been really entertaining lately and this hasn't gone unnoticed by his peers. For those that know, this guy is a marvelous success story.

Terry Gerin, who formerly competed as Rhino, has lost 25 pounds and looks to be in excellent physical shape. Terry could be introduced soon but may be held back until WrestleMania.

With Scotty 2 Hotty injured, look for Grand Master Sexay to get some significant singles in-ring time.

Nothing new on the Paul Heyman front to report. Paul's many skills could really be utilized in the Federation. Stay tuned.

Bradshaw's book project is progressing slowly, but it seems to be catching the interest of a lot of folks.

Paul Bearer has been helping behind the scenes evaluating and scouting developmental talent and other prospects. Kevin Kelly has also contributed a great deal in this area. The goal is to find men and women with positive team-oriented attitudes who are athletically capable of telling a great in-ring story. Verbal skills are very important, as well.

No word from the creative types regarding Shawn Michaels' return to TV. I hope it's soon because HBK brings a ton of charisma and heritage to the tube. I still feel Shawn will have a significant role at WrestleMania, only not as a wrestler. His workouts are going well from what I'm told.
