O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I forgot what it was last year (Highway to Hell??) but this year, according to the WWF.com weekly newsletter, "Bodies" by Drowning Pool is the official song for SummerSlam 2001. (found at 1wrestling.com) I guess thats why Paul Heyman kept saying Let the Bodies Hit the Floor, although at first I thought he was hinting at RVD's possible new music, since he said it a few times during RVD's match...but I guess not. "I firmly believe that any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out, in a good cause, and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." -Vince Lombardi "90% of baseball is mental, the other half is physical." - Yogi Berra

While its good for their publicity, its bad cause the song will be driven into the ground. It is a great song though, so maybe it can endure the airplay it will get. AC/DC is my favorite band ever, but even I was sick of the song by the time the show was over. "What are you speaking, German Brian?" "Brian, what the hell are you talking about?" Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Also keep in mind that Summerslam 1998 was back in the days when they promoted the big PPVs months in advance so we had to deal with "Highway to Hell" in the promos for like 10 weeks or something like that. I remember that they had a Summerslam countdown back then too. So the song was definately overplayed on WWF programming. I think though that "Bodies" will be able to stand the exposure. That song (and the album as well) just rocks. ------------------- But there's also this: there are over 5,000 men in this city, who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done. I know it, too, and I'm damn glad to be one of them."

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | There is a difference between Drowning Pool and Limp Bizkit. My Way had one line, My way or the highway. Bodies has the one main line too, but the rest of their song fuckin rocks...plus they arent as famous as limp was before he sung my way. Anyway, the point is that i dont think this song will be played out as much.
