| Way to go Opie, playing "My Hero" by the Foo Fighters. Made me think of this topic. Anyone out there hear a song that either was appropiate, or eerie, or prophetic, or just helped them get through the last few days? How about a song that maybe lifted your spirits. I'm actually not talking about the traditioanl "God Bless America" type patriotic songs, but something off the radio or in your personal collection. I heard Weezer's "The World has Turned and Left Me Here" the other day, and the lyrics were kind of haunting.
"In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

| They lyrics in my sig are from The Brilliant Dance by Dashboard Confessional. I thought they were really fitting based on how people have been hit with this tragedy.
And breathing is a foreign task
and thinking's just too much to ask
and you're measuring your minutes
by a clock thats blinking eights |

this song by Abdullah is also helping get me through
EARTH'S ANSWER
Hey, will the world turn upon me?
Will the sould survive ultimately?
Oh, will peace ever be found
When I drag my feet on hallowed ground?
I don't wanna know
what the future will hold
I don't wanna pray
cause I'm lost anyway
Hey, will the pain follow me then?
Will I turn my back on despair?
Oh, will the sun shine upon me
when the body dies, is the soul set free?
I don't wanna know
what the future will hold
I don't wanna pray
cause I'm lost anyway
Cause your mind can't pull through it
and seclusion becomes a friend
I won't walk away
and my eyes can't fool me
When your world seems at an end
there's no reason to pretend
that things will be okay
and my eyes can't fool me...
To your soul, I say let go
cuz your mind can't pull through it
and seclusion becomes a friend
I won't walk away
and my eyes can't fool me

You know, your right. I didn't even think of that song, but as soon as you said it, the lyrics popped into my head and really do apply....
Weezer - The World Has Turned And Left Me Here
The world has turned and left me here
Just where I was before you appeared
And in your place an empty space
Has filled the void behind my face
I just made love with your sweet memory
One thousand times in my head
You said you loved it more than ever
You said
You remain, turned away
Turning further every day
I talked for hours to your wallet photograph
And you just listened You laughed enchanted by my intellect
Or maybe you didn't
Do you believe what I sing now?
Do you believe what I sing now?
Do you believe what I sing now?
My grandmother always said, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the sex for free."
