| Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | Nas is by far the better emcee in my opinion. Both have fallen off though as their albums progrressed. Nas' albums got progressively worse but his last one is the only one that id label as bad. Jay-Z suffered from the same syndrome with Vol. III and the Dynasty being wack as hell. Though he did come slighty harder with the Blueprint. Nas is leaps and bounds above Jay-Z and as far as they're battle goes, Jay-Z got lyrically slain on Ether. Jay-Z just recently put out a lame freestyle response to it on Hot 97 so hopefully it ends the beef. Rockefeller got AIDS, that was the end of his chapter And that's the guy y'all chose to name your company after Put it together, I rock hoes, y'all rock fellas And now you trying to take my spot, fellas? The track was called Superugly and you can hear it at hiphopgame.com Hopefully hova plans on bringing something harder in the future cause as of now Nas in on top of this battle. Even though I don't like him, I'm sure Jay-Z will drop a tight response sometime in the future and that this freestly was just more or less to keep the streets hot about this battle . | ||||

I'm not sure if it's true or not cuz i dont get Hot97 while I'm at school but i read it from a few different people on a fairly consitent message board. With Nas the Wu dropping albums really soon and a Canibus/Killah Priest/Rass Kass/Kurrupt collabo project due out in the spring, hopefully we can get back to real hip hop instead of empty lyrics over Neptunes laced beats. It's a sad state for hip hop when the 5 or 10 best emcee's are known by few people and are lucky if there albums go gold. But I guess that's the case for all music in general not just rap. All acts stay the truest underground before getting raped by the industry. | ||||
