An (un)official website confirmed that last week Maynard and A Perfect Circle had been in the recording studio for much of the week. Obviously, they are putting together A Perfect Circles next album, which is rumored to be out this summer. Hopefully it will be. '

| I've heard that once this last Tool tour and album and everything was over they were gonna do like 1 or maybe 2 more and that was gonna be it...Apparently MJK wants to focus just on APC..We'll see another APC album would be very good right about now though...

| There is a lot of talk about what Maynard is going to do. Is he leaving TooL, is he going to stay, is he going to do APC full time or will he just do the two remaining albums left on the record deal with APC? Who knows. Only Maynard, I guess. There is apparently a lot material left over from Lateralus that wasn't released. Songs that they, for whatever reason didn't want on the album. I quess that it didn't fit the theme of the album, or they just didn't want the cd to be a double cd. The latter is what Danny Carey said the problem was.
What I am hoping is that they release another album soon. The same way they did with Opiate and with Undertow. Half of Undertow was written before Opiate was released. I doubt it will be that fast, and part of me hopes it won't be that quick. Shit, i'm still trying to figure out most of the songs meanings.
Hopefully Tool will be around for a long time to come. If not, they gave us a great run.

It's amazing though, Tool takes so long to come out with new stuff. Between Aenema and Lateralus was such a long time, but all along you knew something new was somewhere down the line. I heard they are supposed to be coming out with the DVD of Lateralus.
Did you see them this last tour? I checked them out at MSG the 2nd night, great show, they didn't play Ticks & Leeches but they did play Opiate which was solid.

Tool won a Grammy tonight for "Schism". Nice to finally see them getting recognition by the music "experts" at the Grammy's.

| Too bad the douche pumps who broadcast the show didn't show Danny and Justin getting the award. Their speeches were typically Toolish.
Danny Carey:"I would like to thank my mom and dad for putting up with the cauncophany of sound for 15 years, Bientje and Satan.
Justin CHancellor:"I would like to thank Alex Grey for doing the artwork, and my mom for doing my dad."
I would have loved to see the reaction from the crowd after that.
I unfortunately never got to see Tool on this last tour, however, they starting to tour again this summer(?). THey are going over to Europe and Oceania starting in April.

You have to see them on tour. Are they definetly touring again or were you asking?
Toolband.com just had their quotes, no pics or anything like that
