I would not say 90% because allot of these songs where pretty good, I think they just met with the fate of being overlplayed, much like every song that J-Lo, and Ja rule have done, god I hate the fucking sound of both of their voices now.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that some of these artists had more than one hit.

VH1 amazes me sometimes with their stupidity.

I know - why would you spend weeks on a show and not even do your research about other songs by the bands - and I could see if they didn't have enough of them so they just put "Were not gonna take it" .. but they ranked it 17 - thats just aweful

I certainly don't understand why Ratt and Twisted Sister are on that countdown!! They were pretty big bands with quite a lot of well known songs!!

I swear it was this big

Wasn't it only last year that Mickey was the #1 One Hit Wonder on their countdown? What music phenomenon occured to warrant it moving down in the charts to #5?

Here is another candidate - remember the song "Life Is A Highway" by Tom Cochrane? Big song when it came out, never heard from the guy again.

Faith No More? They had more than one hit, how can such an important band , and lead singer in Mike Patton, be grouped with the likes of "Harper Valley PTA" and "Convoy"?

Fo shizza my nizza, is it ok to say nizza?

Ok wait a second, Twisted Sister had at least three or four hits...Quiet RIot had at least three as well,(Mamma Were all Crazee now and The Wild and the Young) Eddie Grant had the theme song to Romancing the Stone. Faith no More had Falling to Pieces, Midlife Crisis and a hysterical cover of Easy. Ratt had like three or four other hits, Dance, Lay it Down, You're in Love(Personal fave) Musical Youth did a duet with Donna Summer
Looking back it is safe to say that VH1 is the unprepared for this one and also...aren't you glad some of these bands only had one hit and they were gone forever??

That Aqua song was made in 1997, not 1987. I wouldn't want to whack my bag to any chick who's pushing 40. Lene Nystrom is hot.

A couple of these bands have more than 1 hit. But how can you put Faith No More into that list.
Epic
Falling To Pieces
Easy
Midlife Crisis
Small Victory
Digging The Grave

And these were songs that were mainstream hits

They are only counting the hits that made it to the top of the charts. Only one song made it to the top 10 for most of these artists. The other songs on the albums might have been good to a fan of the group but not to the rest of the country.
