I know this is a message board where books are rarely discussed. Actually, its a world where books are rarely discussed. But this book pays homage to the entertainer known as Bruce Springsteen. The author (I don't have the book in front of me to get the name) incorporates other books written on Bruce into his version of growing up with Springsteen. The author basically shows that he is a fan, a fan from day one. From before Greetings. He details Springsteen's songs along with the times they are written. For example, Born in the USA. A so called pro American song. The other shows how the President incorporated it into his election, how company's jumped on the America Bandwagon (However most of us know that it is a song against Americas involvement in Viet Nam). Or how another album was contrasted against the disco period and how it transformed rock and roll. Basically it is a quick read and very insightful into the times.

Look at my poor attempt at a book review. Anyway, if you have read or will read this book, write your comments here. (I know this thread will either disappear off the face of the earth, or blow up in my face)
