Psychopath Registered: Aug. 00 | Tequila, Creed kicks major ass, especially live A man lies in his bed in a room with no door He waits, hoping for a presence, something, anything to enter After spending half his life searching He still felt as blank as the ceiling at which he stared He is alive, but feels absolutely nothing, so is he? :)Official UN-Official Newbie father to radio-star and Claire:)

Mr. Brownstone | posted on 04-24-2001 @ 8:14 PM
O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Not if I can help it, the combination of the bad Pearl Jam ripoff and the Christian ideology makes me want to puke. Although most of the general public has been led to believe Mr. Brownstone is about some of the band members' heroin addictions (mainly from the disinformation provided by the band in order to garner street cred), the song is actually about Mr. Frank Brownstone, the head instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Los Angeles. In the late 80s, Rose was a student of Brownstone's (who do you think taught Rose his snakelike hip-swiveling?). Apparently, Rose did not pay Brownstone for the lessons. This song is about Brownstone's constant, yet futile, attempts at reimbursement.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | The first album was pretty good, but the radio overplaying just killed them for me... so did their stupid "Behind the Music" (how the hell did they deserve that?????) where my annoyance for Scott Stapp grew and I just wanted to slap him no-one ever tends to me. Sitting alone covered in breeze. Some things are so my mind can breathe. The waiting is hard, fuckin' takes so long. Draped in sun, hands in sand. Earth acid cleanses me. It cleanses me clean, but the world it never comes(Kyuss, Space Cadet)

Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 01 | im not a fan, i've heard all there stuff but this whining rock has to stop. im glad your a Christian but i dont need to hear abut it in every interview. and mr. stapp and the rest of the boys better stop talking about pearl jam in any shape or form. they haves "light years" to go before they can even think of comparing then to my boy eddie and the rest of the band.

Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Scott Stapp does a dead-on Eddie Vedder impression but the point of music is NOT to sound like another singer. Creed has some nify guitar hooks but they are too light and Christian for me. I'm a Christian but in the immortal words of Bart Simpson "Everybody knows the best bands worship the devil." O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | Well after watching the VH1 behind the music, his music and lyrics just reflect things that have happened to him in his life. Isnt that what most groups write about?
