What would be the ultimate show for you to see? Be the booker and pick the bands, reunions are ok, they just have to still be living...

OK, well most of your won't know mine

My dream show would be an all-day stoner/doom/desert rock (for lack of a better description) festival featuring on the main stage :
  • Solace
  • Sea of Green
  • Halfway to Gone
  • Abdullah
  • Raging Slab
  • Beaver
  • Unida
  • Fu Manchu
  • Queens of the Stone Age

Culminating in a huge jam session at the end, when all the members of Kyuss play together again--I can finally see my favorite band live for the first time (besides in bottleg videos)

Hey, will the world turn upon me
Will the soul survive ultimately
Oh, will peace ever be found
When I drag my feet on hallowed ground

I don't wanna know
what the future will hold
I don't wanna pray
cause I'm lost anyway

Let's see, it would take place in a big field. The bands would include: Country Joe, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, CSN, Richie Havens amoung countless others and the last day Jimi Hendrix would wake us up with The Star Spangled Banner.

It would rock.

Damn Spit... you make this so hard... how about a week long festival 'cuz i'd like to see your show along with brokenjaw's & AM's... ok, i'll try to keep it to a minimum... in no particular order...

  • Beastie Boys
  • Johnny Cash
  • Temple of the Dog
  • Clutch
  • the Crystal Method
  • Pantera
  • Slayer
  • Murphy's Law (you can't have a party without the Law)

  • Ministry
  • Dead Kennedy's (and since Ministry is already here too, i'll add LARD)
  • Primus
  • Run-DMC (kicking some old school flavor)
  • the Jesus Lizard
  • Slipknot
  • Tom Waits
  • FatBoy Slim
  • Black Crowes & Jimmy Page(on stage with Gov't Mule at the same time

I'd probably go to anyone of these show just cuz you guys feel so strongly about them, esp. MB, FN and BJ

quote:

Blind Melon
Well, you can't see them anymore, but the band has reconvened with a new singer and drummer (from PJ) to now form Unified Theory...you should check them out MB :)
I saw them at a tiny shithole in Asbury Park and they're amazing!

That's one long helluva show MB and strangely enough, I've seen most of them lol

Thanks Spit, although I already know. I bought Unified Theory the day of its release. It's a good album and I actually had them on my list, but removed them because as good as they are, Blind Melon was much better.

Now if you like either Blind Melon or Unified Theory, try checking out Roger Stevens' Extra Virgin, or Brad Smith's new project Abandon Jalopy.
