| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | I have Adaptec software for burning CD's, yet when I do they only play on the computer. My CD/DVD player that is for the stereo, says NO PLAY. Do I have to convert the MP3 files to .wav???? How do I do that, where do I get that????? Any clues guys LOOKING FOR PINKY, HAVE YOU SEEN HIM????? | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | yer Mom's.. depends on what you mean by "locks up your computer" if you mean you can't do anything until the CD is done burning.. there's nothing you can do about it.. Toast (an Adaptec/Roxio product) WILL lock up your system until it finishes burning a CD.. their most recent version, Toast Titanium, negates this issue, so you would have to buy it. IF however.. you mean when you try to burn a CD it locks your whole system INCLUDING toast (forcing you to restart ie: it crashes) Then here's some things you can do: 1: Make sure all other apps are closed before you burn a cd. 2: Go to edit->Preferences->RAM Cache and set it to maximum RAM Hope this helps (This is the program I get paid to work in lol) If you still have trouble IM me or E-mail me and I'll see if i can help. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Mangus, I had the same problem with Toast "locking when finishing". It was bad firmware in my QPS burner.  I just can't believe all the things people say. Why must I deal with this shit every fucking day. ever stop to think ..... and forget to start again?? | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | My Adaptec software converts them automatically. It asks at the beginning if you want to create a data or audio cd. Then as I select the files, it allows me to go from CDs and from wav/MP3/WMA formats to audio format directly. My software is Adaptec cd creator v4.02e, and Direct cd v3.01. Hope that helps. It looks just like a TeleFunken U-47, you'll love it. With leather? | ||||
