Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | I agree Cobain shouldn't be anywhere near that list. He was a great songwriter but his solo skills shouldn't get him in the top 50. They left out some great solos I would have put in the list: "Them Bones" - (Jerry Cantrell) Alice In Chains "Victory" - (Marty Friedman) Megadeth "Pulling Teeth" - (Cliff Burton) Metallica I know the last one was a bass solo but it was a solo nonetheless. "Estranged" - (Slash) Guns N' Roses "I am a sophisticated sex robot sent back in time to change the future for one lucky lady." - The Shermanator

Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00 | Yea corpse your right people who actually cared about music and the power of music shouldn't be on the list. I am not the biggest Nirvana fan but I think he deserves a spot on the list. "Did you know that the blue ones are for fiber? Your welcome."

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | This is the closest Top 50 list for anyhting ever! However, there should be more hendrix up there. Every time he played a song there was a different solo. AIM: PaintballOpAnt19 Im A Racist Prick. I'm Gunna Find You Petrizzi..And Eat Ya.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | #1- Zakk Wylde is definitely left out-- his solo on No More Tears is one of the best ever... #2- Cobain doesn't belong on this list...the whole purpose of grunge was anti-rock star, without the flashiness of the guitar solo #3- Nothing from Sabbath! or Dream Theater's John Petrucci!- one of the best in the biz Otherwise, a pretty decent list, top 10 are dead on, Eruption is an amazing solo! So blow our mind and make it lazy Those long long days with no escaping I hold the wheel to let it go Don't wanna stop, don't wanna know If it gets you down, well just don't blame me If only we're nothing at all I have adopted graffixrulz into the School of Altered Reality[Email][email protected]">E-Mail Me

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Aug. 00 | quote: He doesn not deserve a fucking spot on the list. He couldn't play a guitar solo to save his life, and isn't this the top 50 guitar solo's list? I am a guitarist, so I believe the piece of shit has no right being on the list. When Truley talented guitar players like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Steve Vai are lower on the list, you know there is a problem...and if you try and tell me that Cobain loved music more than SRV I'll fucking smack you... O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Umm. i know most of it was instrumental, but what about Joe Satriani or Yngvwe Malmstein (spelling). They should be a lot higher. they both are 2 of the best solo guitarists ever. And there is no way Smells LIke Teen Spirit should be on that list.. The solo was not all that long, and from what I hear from people, it is very simple to play.. Other than that, it was a pretty dead on list. E-Mail Me special thanks to maynard and grumpy for the sig pic and the help posting it This message was edited by Banana_juice on 8-13-01 @ 1:17 PM

Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00 | Stevie Ray Vaughan does deserve a spot in the top 5. I aint takin away from him. But he had more time to grow as an artist. And if it did come down to it I know stevie was a better guitarist. "Did you know that the blue ones are for fiber? Your welcome."

O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | quote: Yeah but he sure could play the fuck out of a shotgun to take his life. LMAO The list is pretty dead on. I would have to say the Kirk Hammett solo on ONE should not be here. That was not a solo that was watch how fast I can play my guitar and hopefully save this band from going main stream and go back to speed metal. Oh well did not work. As far as Hendrix God damn no Star Spangled Banner? Well, that's just wrong. But to be honest the Solo in Voodoo Chile is much better then the solo in Voodoo Chile Slight return. Now what I really can't believe is that the acoustic version of Hear my Train A Comin' is not on this list. just my 2 cents.
