Psychopath Registered: Dec. 01 ![]() | I don't mean to be a cry ass, but certain aspects of this BBS are fucked up. First: I have problems posting pictures/links over a certain length. I can't post a pic if the address is more than 44 characters, anything above that is broken up like this: Even UBB (or psuedo-HTML) gets screwed up: ![]() The limit for a sig pic addy is much less, something like 30 characters. Basically, I can post a pic as long as the jpg name is only two characters, but I have to enter it manually instead of having it as a sig. I think this comes from the way my text gets formatted. I'm not hitting return mid sentence for shits & giggles, it's the script that does that. I've heard of other Mac users having problems like this on other BBS', but that was only limited to the sig thing. The other thing is, a lot of links aren't active for me. If someone posts a URL, the "Visit this Website" link is dead. I have to view the source to find the address they posted. This also happens with the "post reply" icons. Sometimes I can reply without problems, and sometimes the link is just dead. I'm fairly sure this has to do with the fact that I'm on a Mac. If anyone wants to be witty and say: "ha ha mac suxx", please kill yourself now and save me the time I'd take berating you. Thanks. edit: Hmm, it ate part of my post. O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 ![]() | I think you're right, it is because you're using a Mac. (No I'm not going to say "ha ha mac suxx" even though I might be thinking it... :P) I think this post might help you with that problem. Hopefully your other problem isn't causing my link to be dead... ![]() ON YOUR KNEES, BITCHES!!!!!!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 ![]() | Yes, like Lod Magus said in the other thread, the problem is that you're using MSIE on a Mac. It doesn't work well on the board. Your problem with posting pictures stems from the same problem you have of the line break being inserted for you. If a line break is inserted in the middle of the URL (like if your URL wrapped to the line below), it won't work. Netscape should do well enough but again, you will miss out on nifty IE-specific stuff like scrolling marquees. If anyone feels like donating me a Mac, I'll attempt to make the code work.... if not, SUCK IT! :D Oh, by the way (again).... the best solution: get a real computer!! ![]()

Psychopath Registered: Dec. 01 ![]() | Okay, I had to log on through Netscape to reply. I couldn't click that link through IE, but I'll give it a try here, or I'll just go in through the source.![]() It still breaks up long URLs, but it actually gave me a few more spaces than MSIE. It's too bad. I really like this BBS, but all the problems makes it frustrating to use. And I certainly don't want to boot up Netscape just to use one website. As far as getting a new computer goes, I've never had any problems with an Ikonboard BBS. Edit: It broke up the URL, but the pic still works. Hmm. Psychopath Registered: May. 00 ![]() | for all the mac people out there, i suggest you give OmniWeb a try if you are using OS X. it is by far the best browser out there, and even though it is a work in progress, they release new builds weekly in the Sneaky Peaks section. IE sux for mac. GO DOWNLOAD MY WTC TRIBUTE MOVIE!!! You can also download my SCREENSAVER.
