Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | I just installed a second drive on an NT 4.0 machine. I know the drive is roughly 10 GB. But when i hooked it up, it only registered 4GB of the drive. I remember way back when that NT only registers drives smaller than 4GB of something like that. Anyone know how to resolve this??

Psychopath Registered: May. 02 | What service pack are you running? I think you need to at least have SP3 installed in order to be able to see larger drives. The limitations on drive size are more of an issue for the boot partition. You don't want to have a boot partition bigger than 4GB with NT. For additional drives I've never run into any problems related to the size of them. --------------------------- "It kinda looks like Albert Einstein eating a london broil."

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Also, make sure you're updated to Service Pak 4 or later (go get SP6a from Microsoft). I don't think you can get around this if it's a NEW INSTALL of NT4 but if it isn't, the service pack should fix you up. New AIM, y'know.
