The Mets also received cash with Nitkowski, who was 0-3 with a 5.56 ERA in 56 games for the Tigers this season. Nitkowski grew up in the New York area and attended St. John's before Cincinnati selected him with the ninth pick in the 1994 draft. Nitkowski is 15-30 with a 5.44 ERA in his career. Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | As much as I would like a WS rematch, the Mets season is ticking away. What I want to know is how the Mets made this trade. They didn't do it on the 31st of August, not on the first of September, but on the SECOND. I thought the deadline was a minute past midnight August 31! Sheesh. Yeah it was a good trade, they got cash. | ||||

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | If the Mets were to pull off the miracle and make the playoffs. Nitkowski would not be eligible to be on the Playoff roster. And I dont think this is something to get very excited over. They got a mediocre Relief Pitcher for a Player to be named later. Woopie! | ||||
