| LACROSSE...look this whole baseball thing has been cute for a while, and i am a die hard Yanks fan, but it's become nothing but politics now...no one gives it as much as they can anymore, it's more like 10% than 110%...Major League Lacrosse, is f-ing excellent to watch on MSG...that's a sport where a player is not afraid to be knocked down, or twist their ankle the wrong way...

| I love watching Lacrosse as well but rarely can locate it on FSNY or MSG. It's one of those sports you watch just for the heck of it, or as you mentioned, wathcing someone get pummeled, like European Rugby. And just the other day I saw this guy get knocked the f; out at the end of the first half and lay there for about five minutes.
Unlike Football or either Bball's, I wouldn't plan my weekend on it, but entertaining sport nonetheless.

| Yes, I am a lacrosse goalie trying to get a scholarship this season. I covered the MLL Championship game, was anybody from the board there?
MLL could be the next big thing if they played in better facilities.
New Jersey Pride- Yogi Berra Stadium, a Baseball Stadium)
Long Island Lizards- shuffle between Hofstra Stadium, an ideal facility for lacrosse and EAB Park, another baseball stadium
Baltimore Bayhawks- Johns Hopkins Stadium, good for lacrosse
Rochester Rattlers-play at a football stadium
Boston Cannons- play at Cawley Stadium, a football stadium
Bridgeport Barrage- play at Harbor Yard Stadium, a baseball stadium.
I went to a NJ Pride game at a baseball stadium and it isn't a good experience. Half the stadium is too far from the action to get into it. You need to have games at a football stadium. And it didn't help the Lizards that they were switching from one stadium to the next.
Lacrosse is huge on Long Island, but games are rarely on TV. In Baltimore it's easier to get lacrosse on TV because it's a smaller market. Bayhawks games were on their local ABC affiliate this season. |
