The game is almost over, if this is how the Jets are planning to play the rest of the season, all you Jet fans are in for a long long season. I suggest you invest in lots of alcohol and heavy drug use.......

The Jets Defense was just overmatched.
It was a combination of the Jets being a little flat, and the Colts being dominant.

The Colts are going to be a very good Football team, and they may have as good of a chance as anybody to represent the AFC in the Superbowl.

The Jets going to Oakland next week, doesn't make you feel any better being a Jet fan.

1998: Jets started 0-2, won 2 straight then fell to to 2-3; finished 28 minutes away from the Super Bowl.
2000: Jets rocket to a 4-0 start only to lose 5/6 final games in self-choke fashion, lose a playoff berth by tie-breakers.

2001: The Indianapolis Colts, using a hurry-up offense for much of the game, routed the New York Jets 45-21 but later on in the season...?

"One game does not a season make." -- Cosell

For all the success the Yankees have I always have to suffer after October watching the Jets season whither away. It's one game. Maybe we'll get butt-slammed from behind next week in Oakland, or maybe we'll turn it around. I never go into a season expecting much from this team but rather hope for the best.

What was real telling about today's game was how last year's 9-7 record was just a phallacy. We shouldn't even have won 7 games. One fumble on Monday Nite, one missed interception by the Pats, what if Mike Alstott hadn't fumbled? Seven games would have been all, at best, AT BEST!

When will they wake up and start Pennington?

Did you see Pennington when he came in? Did you see Pennington this pre-season?

The Jets are very dissapointed with the progress of him.

And I didnt know that the West Coast Offense consisted of Running the Ball 80% of the time.

That's a 114.6 QB Rating, and compared to his 69.0 QB Rating all last year, that's very good.

In his amazing 1998 season he only managed a 101.6. It's only one game and the only numbers that count are 45 to 21, but if this team is going to do anything this year it will be with Vinny under center.

It's the west coast offense, admittedly but Vinny isn't to blame for this loss, it's the mistakes of the team as a whole. Going to Pennington is not an option. The Jets would more likely go to Tupa when he recovers.

how can u blame that game on vinny? it wasnt his fault he fumbled it was his teammate that hit him. and for some reason i knew that drive was just going to end in disaster. its something you pick up on as a jet fan, when they're going to screw up.

Jets always seem to do that ----
Break your heart.

They get down big time, and rally back. Vinny & Curtis get them just a few feet from the end zone, and a 7 point game, when......
SMACK

I've been a lifelong Jets fan. (and since you may have gathered I root for the Rangers and Mets, I obviously like suffering) Just when you believe, they let you down.
Last year - only 1 win needed last 3 games. Up significantly vs. Ravens....
1998 - 1/2 away from super bowl........

Oh well, pass the Sam Adams.....

it's amazing the feeling you get when the games on the line with this team. it's almost as you're just waiting to see how they're gonna screw it up. nice contrast to being a yanks fan when no matter how much they're down by, u know they'll pull it out somehow. still think the jets will make the wild card and lose in some horrible fashion come playoff time.

Well, if the best player on the team is a RB, then you should use him, and screw the west coast offense. I dont like the Jets by any means, but that is why they have a shitty west coast offense. THe west coast offense is best for teams with no RB, but the Jets have Curtis Martin.

I can at least take solace in that they are not the worst team in the AFC East. That easily goes to the Patriots.

Let's see,
a) Jets played in Miami mud and AJ Duhe (sp?) played game of his life
b)Bruce Harper dropped a punt vs. Buffalo.
c)Mark (steroids)Gastineau gets roughing passer penalty vs. Browns....

Why do you say that? :)

Well when you are consistently losing by double digits throughout the game, and the Colts are stopping consistently stopping Curtis Martin. Its time to throw the F'n Ball.

The Jets had 2! TWO!!! Completions to Wide Receivers Yesterday.
