O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Well I decided to use some of my frequent flyer miles and Marriott rewards and Jr Swallow and I are heading to the Pro Bowl. Has anyone here ever gone? Any tips on must see and do's while there, other than the obvious tourist crap. We will be taking in The NFL Experience. Any other suggestions? Tequila Fez claims this land in the name of Portugal! Why worry about the train if it never makes it around the tracks?? IrishAlkey wuz here!!! | posted on 01-22-2002 @ 5:36 PM
O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | I have no reason to go. That is one of the shitiest games of the year. Look at Randy Moss who never played because he is a tool. What wrong with making them play and not giving them an option. They are voted to to pro bowl because they are supposed to be the best players in the NFL. Some of them are just there because of what they did in the past. AOL/AIM - oanda1027fm

Take in the NFL experience and anything else it has to offer, enjoy it for what its worth. Damn my Dad didn't do shit wait till I tell my therapist

Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | Please, if I ever made it to Hawaii, I sure as shit wouldn't waste time going to what amounts to the most boring football game of the year including those in: pro, college, XFL, arena football, Madden 2002, canadian football, USFL, Tecmo Bowl, or WLAF.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon a year and a half ago. Fuck the Pro Bowl. Waikikii was a lot of fun, but Maui was absolutely incredible (take a day flight). Do Pearl harbor, That was worth it. Also, I forgot the name of the mountain but in Waikikii, there is a mountain, with an army base in the moutain. It is a nice hike and a great view of the city. Very famous.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | We will be there 5 days, so there will be plenty of time for the tourist stuff along with the game. The NFL experience is only 5 bucks to get in, so that should be worth it. The game is what it is. Hell drinking beer at a footbal game in Hawaii can't be that bad. And the whole thing is for Jr. and well hotties in bikinis is something we can both enjoy. Hey Lent, I thought you black guys were jealous of us white guys all the time anyways? ;) American Patriot, Pennsylvania resident, but original NYC listener.

I'll give you my life, cause I don't own anything Seems like the bottle was all that I had until now I'll give you my life, if you give me yours somehow.

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Fuck Oahu, go to Maui! (sound familiar?). If you are going to fly 1/3 of the way around the earth, don't waste your time on Oahu, besides pearl harbor and the pipeline on the north side, it isnt worth your time. Go to Maui or Kaui(spelling?). Do the road to Hana and watch the sunrise atop Halelakila, get there early, you have never seen so many stars. Trust me dude, Oahu is like going to the Jersey shore.......Maui rules. I shucked it, and I shucked it, and I shucked it, i'm quite the mother shucker!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Tbanks for the input on Maui. From what I understand, since 9/11, island hoping isn't what it used to be, go the airport and hop on the plane. Need to tie up several hours on each end now. I will look into alternatives while there. American Patriot, Pennsylvania resident, but original NYC listener.

Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 02 | Hit Pearl and the North shore. As stated above Maui is great. Although I didn't like the road to Hana. Wife's driving drove me insane. We also did the Star Party on Halelakila. Pretty cold up there too. We saw the government observatories shooting a laser into the sky to track various satellites. Avoid all the setup activities run by either the hotels or tourist companies. Get out on your own and if you do Maui a car is a must. "Spitters are quitters."

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Swallow, I went in October, island hopping is no problem. We got to honalulu airport an hour and a half before our flight, and they put us on the flight an hour before ours. Thus then follow this logic, half an hour from ariving at airport to being on plane. And yes, a car in Maui is a must. I shucked it, and I shucked it, and I shucked it, i'm quite the mother shucker!
