If Brady is able to go next week, who should get the start? Bledsoe was the starting QB for the Pats, lost it to injury and came back today and was one of the main reasons the Pats won today?

Or do you give it to Brady who got the job because of Bledsoe's injury, had a Pro Bowl year, but looked awful in today's game up until the injury?

If you give it back to Brady, it is 1000% sure than Bledsoe is traded in the offseason, which has been the rumor anyway.

Who gives the Patsies the best shot at either the Eagles or Rams?

I think that if Brady can go on Sunday then he should. Bledsoe really didn't look like a starter today and I would feel more confident watching Brady throw all game. I was glad to see Drew play today though...it finally feels like he contributed this season and if the Pats win in New Orleans, the ring on his finger won't be as undeserving.

It is a general rule of thumb that you do not lose your starting position due to injury. Of course, one can say that Bledsoe lost his job to an injury, but there is much more to it. If Brady is ready, he will start, and Bledsoe will be traded regardless.

Tough call. Bledsoe came in today and while he didn't have a great game, it was pretty good considering the circumstances and the team he was playing. Brady has kept his poise all year. I however still think that Bledsoe is a much better QB than Brady. Brady does have a lot of intangibles in his favor though. I still go with Bledsoe though since he gives you more options throwing the ball.

"Undeserving"? Granted he didn't play too much and was 0-2 in his starts but you shouldn't say "undeserving". He earned any sort of ring he may get by his tutoring of Brady and not making a huge deal of not being named starter. He handled that with class when the situation could have caused a distraction and gotten messy.

Very tough call, while you would want to have Bledsoe start because of his experience, and his better arm, you have to let Brady start if he is healthy. He's done it all year for them, and you should let him finish what he started. So, even though I am a 100% Bledsoe fan, i have to say that you have to start Brady this sunday.

Theres nothing wrong with using both of them, obviously only using Bledsoe for a few plays, but for a change of pace or something against the Rams. Should be a fantastic Super Bowl.

You are absolutley, 100 percent right. However, he was always considered the franchise player...if they won a Superbowl with him on the bench for every win, it would almost feel as though he had nothing to do with it. Not just speaking from my perspective because I am almost positive that it would be one of those situations where they put an asterick next to his name. I was really happy for him and I had never felt like such a Bledsoe supporter before.

Really, "awful"

Brady: 12-18, 115 yards (in less than a half)
Bledsoe: 10-21 105 yards 1TD

If Brady can play, there's no question he should play. This team is better suited for Brady's type of play. Bledsoe throws CANNONS. Did you see him almost take off Jermaine Wiggins head with a 5 yard pass?

The Pats are better suited for slow, methodical drives. Short crossing patterns, runs up the middle, and quick screens to WR and RB. What Bledsoe was doing the whole game was just sitting there in the pocket patting the ball as the pocket collapsed on him. He's always held the ball too long, which is why he was sacked so many times every year. The offensive line was young, yes, but even with this one, he just held the ball too long.

Bledsoe is better suited for long bombs and 20-30 pass plays with his gun of an arm, but the Pats don't really have any deep threats. Back when they had Glenn and Shawn Jefferson, he was great.

If Brady can go, play him. If not, the Pats have absolutely no chance against the Rams (they only lost by 7 earlier this year, and that was becuase Antwain Smith fumbled on the goaline which led to a Rams touchdown before the half)

Bledsoe will get traded in the offseason. The Seahawks gave up 2 first round picks for Matt Hasselbeck for chrissakes. The Pats will AT LEAST be able to get a #1 pick and a starter for a late 20s 3-time probowler.

They've got a ton of cap room in the offseason, but the team is going to be completely changed since many of their free agent signings were 1-year guys.

I also think that Antawain Smith will be gone after this year unfortunately.

Brady is more deserving I think. He got'em there so if he's able to play...he should start. I don't really think it's gonmna matter though. The Rams will probably crush'em regardless of who's the starter. But you never know.

Does anyone think Belichick is not saying which quarterback he will start to try andtrick St. Louis?

If he had come out and said Brady, St. Louis just looks at his film, but leaving this seed of doubt could make the Rams job that much harder having to study for two (TWO!) QB's.

brady should definitely start. he got them to where they are. that wouldnt be fair if he played all season and then didnt get to play in the superbowl.

They could play Brady and Bledsoe at the same time, it wont stop the massacre that will occur next Sunday in New Orleans.

Id start Brady though if he is 100%, and then have Bledsoe ready to come in.

And its not fair to Brady to play the whole season and not play in the Super Bowl? Is the Super Bowl. Fairness doesnt come into play. It wasnt fair for Bledsoe to be the Franchise QB for many years and then lose his job due to injury, but thats just the way it goes.

And you(TW)care about this,Why?

Anyways,I'd say if Brady is healthy enough to go he starts. But, Bledsoe does need to get into the game at some point if only to mix things up.

This whole situation has reminded me of the 85 season with grogan and Eason....hopefully the outcome will be better

Its a pretty easy choice IMO, Brady led them through the regular season, he should lead em through the post season. But like it was said, either way, the Rams will win it.

Brady should start, and then when he gets hurt, Drew Bledsoe comes in.

And then, when he gets hurt, they should bring in Johnny Unitas, cuz he's fucking God. I mean, you ever see how all the old NFL films are about Johnny just doin amazing shit, and they treat him as if he is the answer to all the world's problems. If anyone can bring the Pats a championship, Its Johnny Unitas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly...not one sports "analyist" or ESPN "guru" has given the Pats their due. All season and even before today's game. Have they been watching the fucking games or do they just hate to admit that they were all wrong at the beginning of the season. Granted, nobody expected Brady to do what he has done, but even towards the end of the season the Chris Collinsworths and the Terry Bradshaws were too scared to admit that the Pats were contenders for the AFC. Did anyone out there really think that Kordell Stewart was going to get the job done?

Because it is topical douchebag. It is the fucking Super Bowl, even if it is the team I hate the most in the league even more than the Cowboys and Redskins. If you don't lose your job to injury, why did Bledsoe lose it than.

I cannot wait for the Rams to beat the patsies by 3 touchdowns or more. The more the better.

People lose their job to injury all the time. I don't know why this myth was created by the fanbase of all sports that it's somehow inhumane to take a guy's job away because he got hurt.

You play the one that's playing best. And Bledsoe was out for 6 weeks. When he came back, the team was playing extremely better than when he left. You don't upset the applecart when a team is winning like that.

Brady willl play if healthy. No questions. I think it's wise to keep it quiet as someone else mentioned, so the Rams have to prepare for two drastically different QBs

They said on ESPN that Brady will be starting.
