O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Find out which team is better. I simulated the 1986 Mets with Dwight Gooden starting vs 1998 Yankees with David Cone starting and of course the Yankees won and the score was 6-3. Simulate other teams for different years or different sports. It is really cool. Visit this Website This message was edited by TeenWeek on 3-8-02 @ 12:29 PM

That was the year Jordan came back at the end of the season and they lost to Orlando in the 2nd Round. How about picking any of the 6 years they won a Championship. And where the hell is the NHL?? What's with that disrespect. This message was edited by Francine Banger on 3-8-02 @ 12:41 PM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jul. 00 | quote: I think they meant the 95-96 season when they won 72 games (or was that 96-97, i forget) and beat Seattle..Since the 98-99 Lakers didn't win anything but the 99-00 Lakers did.. yeah, it is wrong though, the 95 Bulls should refer to the 94-95 season

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | This site is a GREAT IDEA! However, I wonder how accurate things such as rosters and team management are. Example: I've run about 30 games so far featuring the 1986 Mets, and Randy Niemann (Randy Niemann?) has pitched in pretty much every one (win or lose, including save situations), while Jesse Orosco has appeared infrequently, and Roger McDowell has appeared ONCE! Anyone who remembers the '86 Mets knows that McDowell (75 appearances) and Orosco pitched all the important late innings, and that Niemann only appeared in 32 games all year. Guys like John Mitchell (who appeared in 4 games all year) and Rick Anderson (who appeared in 15) have shown up far more frequently than was the case during the real season. The best example is a game between the 1998 Yanks and the 1986 Mets which went 14 innings, with the Yanks winning 9-5 (it was only 3-3 after 9 innings). Mariano Rivera was removed in the bottom of the 9th after giving up a game-tying single to Wally Backman, and was replaced by Graeme Lloyd. While this may not be unheard of, neither Orosco nor McDowell appearing in a 14-inning game is. [Kevin Mooney voice]That's not riiiight![/Kevin Mooney's voice]
