O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | With alot of talk coming out of the Kings - Lakers series that the NBA and the refs conspired against the Kings, what are the Nets chances in this series. The conspirists use Game 6 as the example, where I think the lakers took 27 free throws in the 4th quarter. Game 7, I will admit, the Kings could of and should of won, but they couldn't hit the ocean while standing on the beach. Does anyone think the Nets have a chance? Does the NBA want the perennial losers, the Swampdragons, errr the Nets to represent them as NBA champs. I have suck hatred for everything about the Lakers. I hate Phil Jackson and his cocky condescending attitude. he thinks he is the greatest coach in NBA history. He walked into it when the Bulls were already good with Doug Collins. They already had Pippen and Jordan and were already heading to the top. And now the Lakers, with the 2 best players in Kobe and Shaq. The team would have won the NBA title if not for their sheer hatred for Del Harris and losing in the Western conference finals. Phil Jackson is a great motivator and a good coach. I said good coach not great coach. Shaq and Kobe. 2 of the biggest fucking crybabies in the NBA today. David Stern and the NBA basically suckle them. They travel constantly, they foul constantly and they bitch and moan constantly. I am a Knicks fan, but I want the Nets to beat the living shit out of the snobby fuckheads in the lakers in as few games as possible. I just know if the Nets can steal a game or 2, Kobe and Shaq and Phil Jackson will bitch and moan to the NBA and as soon as that happens, you know the lakers will 3-peat and Pat Riley will become a millionaire again for copyrighting 3-peat for all merchandising. quote: This message was edited by TeenWeek on 6-10-02 @ 8:57 AM

Psychopath Registered: May. 02 | I'm a Celtics fan, bit I wanna see the Nets demolish the Lakers. I was watching Lakers/Kings game 7 at my friends house. He is a HUGE Knicks fan, so he was obviously rooting for the Kings. But very early in the game, the Kings missed 5 consecutive free throws. I turned to my friend and said, "The game is over. No matter how close it is, Lakers are winning this game." Anytime you shoot 16-30 on free throws and 2-20 from the 3 point range, you deserve to lose. BTW, can anyone please explain to me why they even looked at Doug Christie as an option? This message was edited by Tussle King on 6-3-02 @ 2:53 PM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jul. 00 | I completely agree, keeping Christie in the game was a bad move, especially considering he came in for Bobby Jackson with 4:00 left in the 4th. But I'm guessing the reason was defensive purposes. He did a pretty decent job guarding Bryant.. but still, there's no reason for him to even be touching the ball on the offensive end. Just get the ball to Bibby and get out of the way. Especially when Bryant was guarding him with 5 fouls.

Psychopath Registered: May. 02 | after watching game 6, i knew there was no reason to watch game 7...kobe and shaq can basically commit murder on the court and get away with it...there was no way pollard OR divac should have fouled out...not a chance! i did watch game 7, and once i saw kobe on bibby, while he had 5 fouls, you knew he wouldn't foul out...no way would a ref make that call. i don't want to cry conspiracy as a knicks fan, but the officiating for this series was worse than islanders/toronto...i feel bad for webber and the kings, the league took the championship away from them.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | quote: Your absolutely right. The League took the Championship right away from them. It had absolutely nothing to do with Webber playing scared and not wanting the ball in the 4th Quarter and Overtime. It had nothing to do with Sacramento missing 15 foul shots. Its all the League's fault. Since when did everybody turn into Alonzo Mourning? Stop your fucking bitching. I hate the Lakers too and I would love to see them lose to anybody. But stop blaming everybody and their mother why the Kings lost the series. The Kings lost the series because they didnt do what they needed to do to win. They blew a 24 point lead in Game 4, the Refs didnt do that. They got totally outplayed in Game 1, and They were pittiful down the stretch in Game 7. They have nobody to blame but themselves, lets stop bitching about the refs already.

Yes, Sacramento deserved to lose game 7. They blew it and they could not shoot for shit. But you know the NBA wanted the lakers in the finals.

Just because the other guy (i forgot his name) had to attend a graduation? I just had to put the game on mute and listen to music. Hell i'd listen to a vos cd on repeat 10 times in a row listening to Walton. Thank god NBC does not have the rights next year. I fucking hate Walton, Costas, and that brownoser Rashad. As for the series i dont think the nets will win, even though i'm pulling for them. Lakers in 5. Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I saw the worst call I have ever seen in the history of basketball during game 6 of kings/lakers. They called Bibby for a foul and he was at least 2 feet away from Kobe. And last night, every call went the Lakers way. Nets have to attack the hoop. Shaq picked up his first foul in the fourth quarter. That can't happen. The refs definately favored the Lakers huge last night but the Nets should have made more free throws. Hope those calls will come back to Jersey. 2002 Crack Committee Objectives: 1. 94 Wins and NL East Title by the Mets this year 2. Hate the Braves with a passion 3. Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | The sad thing is I'm a Laker fan and I wanted to see the Kings win the championship .... if not only to see how the lakers and phil jackson would handle losing a series ..... Also, in game 2 against the Nets .... there were some of the worst calls I've ever seen .... I know I sound like a Laker hater but when the Nets were making that run to start the fourth there were 2 or 3 time in a row Shaq couldve easily been called for charging but he ended up with an easy lay-in or a dunk and that completely changed the momentum ..... I'm not saying it's fixed but I think the officials might be a little biased .... I kind of wish Horry missed the 3 at the end of game 4 or whichever it was because you could possibly have seen the best matchup in the playoffs this year with the Kings vs. Nets In the immortal words of Norton: "I stink"

And listening to Kobe and Shaq whine over the last couple of years I was just simply stating I want to see how they handle coming in so heavily favored and lose .... I would like to see what they have to say .... Plus, I like Chris Webber and Jason Kidd and wouldn't mind seeing them win something .... You're response isn't needed .... Cumbag

You say Shaq and Kobe whine, and youd rather have the Kings in the Finals. Well, WHY BE A LAKERS FAN THEN? Sorry, but FB is correct...you are an idiot. Further proving that point is how you said you wanted Horry to miss the 3. I did too, but i did because i hate the Lakers' guts. Guess i might as well be a lakers fan then, id fit under your criteria for a fan. YOU STINK! Thanks to Austin for the pic 1. 94 Wins and NL East Title by the Mets this year 2. But Shaq is kind of annoying even though he is the most dominant player in the league .... and he does whine too much .... Also, as far as being a fan goes .... Being a fan of the Lakers doesn't ban me from liking other teams you jackass ....

Nah, you were a Bulls fan back then right? You didnt start liking the Lakers until 2000. Then again I dont really know who you truly like.

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | Why don't you just go back to having that dick in your mouth .... I know everyone say oh I've liked this team forever because I can name everyone who was on the team back then .... who cares .... First off I don't need your approval on who I like and yes I jumped on the bandwagon when I was about 9 yrs. old .... back in '86 you retard .... You can look at all the teams I root for and all of them did have good years or won the championship that year .... The Red Sox, the Lakers, the Bears, and the Bruins .... all of them had exceptional years in that time frame but over the years I follow certain players as well .... like Chris Webber and Stojakovic from the SK .... I also like Jason Kidd from NJ .... It just happens that I keep my same favorite teams year after year and all of them are seeming to be coming around this year .... I still have faith in the Red Sox after being let down numerous times .... But, since the B-ball playoffs are here I do continue to root for the Lakers but I don't like how Shaq bitches all the time .... He can score 40 points and find something to bitch about .... he doesn't bitch when he lowers his shoulder and plows someone over and they get called for the foul .... of course, he wouldn't but he expects to get those kind of calls .... Anyway, since you can't seem to understand that I can like a team but not some of the players then you should just shut your damn mouth .... I keep just simply stating I would like to see how they handle it and what they would say about the officiating .... The curse shall be lifted ......
