Personally, I'm frustrated as anything with them, I think they have made a series of bad moves with good intentions only to come back and smack them in the face. First and foremost, the Ewing trade gone bad. Had it happened the way it was expected to, they would have landed Vin Baker AND Glen Rice. As a result of the cluster fuck that entailed, they got nothing. Mugsy Bogues, Luc Longley (by now I've pretty much forgotten that he's a Knick and even so, who gives a flying fuck?! It's Luc Longley.) And even if the trade did go down as planned, where's the man in the middle?! The Knicks are a team chock full of forwards all with their own strengths. I like Camby but he's no center. He doesn't have a shot, he's lanky, the list goes on. I like Thomas, and wouldn't give up LJ for the world even in his ailing condion, but they need a big man who can bump with the true centers that are dominating the game. Another bad move in my opinion, and I know I might get shot down for this, the Jackson/Childs trade. Granted Jackson is one of the premiere point guards in the NBA, I think Childs had a lot more fire in him, and this was MORE than evident in this series, as well as the past few years. Childs WANTS to win. Period. He steps up his game when appropriate, and will do everything he can to beat the other team (and even try do it by himself if he has to). This was evident in game 4, it was evident the last few years against Miami.. that's just the way he is. I didn't have a good feeling about that trade, and the Toronoto series was a perfect example of why. Even so, the Eastern conference this year is going to be exciting and different for a change. It's reassuring to know that the knick killers are out first round as well... and it's good to see teams like Philly and Toronto advancing for once. Ok... i'm done bitching. Feel free to vent frustrations here. Adopted Dilloners in training: katya_ann AND Evil Opie - AIM CHRIS052076

O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | Well ClusterF I couldn't agree with ya more cuz Im a die hard Knick fan and I did't have a good feeling about the Jackson trade or the Ewing trade either. The Jackson trade didn't really make sense at the tim and it still doesn't make sense because Childs has a huge fuckin desire to win and Jackson seemed sorta lackluster the whole year. The Ewing trade made some sense at least because Ewing was not really contributing to the team as much as they expected from him. It was fucked up how they wound u getting a bunch of shitty players like Mugsy and Luc "the 7'0 pile o sit" Longley when they could have Vin Baker. Whatever Im getting kinda tired of the Knicks inconsistancy. They need to trade Houston and get 2 postions filled better - Center and Shooting guard. Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | I dont think the Jackson trade was bad at all. The knicks desperately needed a good point guard. If childs was still here, he wouldnt be doing nearly as good. I am glad they traded ewing, but they should have gotten a lot better deal. But o well you have to work with you have now Check this Out

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | First off they got Mugsy in the Childs trade now the Ewing trade. ANd I cant kill the trade because at the time it seemed like a good trade. Childs had worn out his welcome, and his antics were getting tiring and Mark Jackson is a veteran who can lead a team at Point Guard. Did the trade backfire in their face? No doubt about it. But nobody could have expected that Childs would play that well for Toronto, and that Jackson would be a non factor for the Knicks.
